Watched at 2.0x speed, it's good information, I like it I really like the part here 14:38 It's also good to note that in some live games if you have a strong tight image, betting 2x on a given board will naturally yield folds more than %67 of the time, and, if used sparingly, like once per week, is a great play to put into your game. A %100 bluff rate where you know your opponent will fold 2/3 to 9/10+ of the time, means a double pot unbalanced range is great, just have an airball only range with no blockers at all, or better yet, a gut shot straight draw to the 2nd nuts. I also love the anon dynamic of exploiting the field's vpip/frequencies, not just from the opponent's ranges in general, but the opponent's general view of anonymous players (%130 pot is "strong" for example).

Awesome content. and I do agree. This reflects my games aswell, I don't feel it makes sense playing almost any 4bet bluffs because people are not 3bet bluffing. when they 3b, they got the goods. cause if not they call. It's so hard to play JJ,QQ,AQs. vs a guy that does not bluff. because I know I can't fold this unless I really know my opponent never 3b or 4b bluff.. But again, when I involve myself with mentioned hands in these 3b or 4b spots it's just so common they got that overpair. and if not it's super transparent AK. No wheel aces or any suited connectors or anything. And it does happen very rarely. Awesome to see content created with the Tight 3bet node lock put in. As it reflects my game, and I'd love to learn the Solvers way of approaching my games :D Thank you Alvin! I really appreciate you, your channel and your content!. Keep up the good work!

Whoa bringing the fire Alvin!! I need to push outside my comfort zone and widen those 3 bet ranges. There is a counter exploit to this and Ive done it myself where I've seen people with very high 3bet stats where I've 4bet with a very wide range and they almost always fold as they assume I have aces or kings. Not many people will pick up on this counter exploit though in the near future. Great video, keep up the high quality content 🔥

@srki223 жыл бұрын
1. As Alvin mentioned these are anonymous games so you don't know that the btn 3bets a lot. 2. If it is not an anonymous game then there is a better approach than just 4betting wide as a bluff. It is to be slightly more tight in the CO. For example you can choose to fold all mixed hands and you will get EV. The btn will get less when they have a hand in their 3b range and also your 4bet percentage is automatically higher if you open less which is not that good for the hyper agro btn. I usually open less when there are several aggressive opponents behind, not just the btn.

Yeah, I think that can be attractive and it's fine against larger 3bet sizings, but if you open x2.3 and get 3bet to 7bb I think having that having an oop flatting range is pretty necessary.

Alvin, this is a very good example on how to exploit population tendencies. I have one question though. When you calculated optimal preflop range for btn 3bet, did you take into account that there are SB and BB behind you, or solver just assumes that it is heads up against CO?

@@xxChacaronXX My friend Chris and I share picks with each other. I give free picks sometimes to a guy named moose on snapchat too whom I barely know. He begged me for a few months after reading one of my comments. We (me and Chris) talk them through. It's %90 rationality and only %10 analytics. The house usually does fine on their initial number crunching (for a lot of things) Because the house uses hedging and analytics as a crutch, my friend and I exploit the site using rationality, since a lot of the lines are broken or can be out-thought I can give an example of a "broken line", there are like 10 of these though, and this is one of the weakest ones with the thinnest of edges (if there is even an edge at all) Score is 90 to 90 Knicks vs Suns 4th Quarter Suns over/under is 30.5 (-110) Total score over/under is 120.5 (-110) Knicks 4th quarter over/under is 26.5 (-110) Knicks Total game over/under is 116.5 (-110) Here we see that since all scores are -110 that the "Over 116.5 total" and "Over 120.5 total" lines and the "under" 4th quarter lines are the only viable bets The over for the game line is better because we can use a 114 to 114 overtime to get some extra minutes to reach that goal, where as a 4th quarter line of "under" is better to deny the possibility of an overtime loss The site doesn't factor in overtime at all is the point Odds of overtime should be around 1/12 or better, so it almost clears the rake completely on its own This is one of many examples I have where rationality changes an otherwise pretty logical/analytical line. The house makes money because people are stupid and bet with their hearts, and the house will hedge out their small losses from the few smart ones that also bet against their lines. The site also bans people who win too much. I had a guy in Vegas tell me he had 22 accounts banned on Bovada betting WNBA 2nd half unders and MLB Strikeouts unders. He was buying people's accounts... If you lose you get magical rakeback rewards, but if you win, you are not welcome there anymore. I got one account flat bet/max bet a few years ago, but the max bet went up 10x for everyone 5 months ago. Bovada must be running super hot.

Great video, I always tough that GTO and solvers should be used to exploit a pool at some extend. For example I've run some sims that showed me that calling a 3bet OOP (CO vs BU) at NL25 was just unprofitable because of the rake (the EV of most hands but 99 where loosing EV vs the cost of the call preflop) and that's vs a "GTO" ~12% BU 3bet range, which almost no one has at micros (most are more around 5-6% or less). So you should be playing a 4bet/fold strat, with overfolding as an exploit. I don't know how you've got 8 thumbs down.. I guess those are the one getting exploited!
