We might need to combine multiple workbooks into one workbook in order to analyse or present the information better. Though this can be done manually, by moving or copying all the worksheets from different workbooks into one workbook, but it would be time consuming and prone to errors. Moreover if there are a large number of workbooks/worksheets, then the problem is even bigger.
However, we have a solution to this and it would not take more than a few seconds to get all workbooks merged into one. Here is the VBA code that can help us achieve this. Even those who are not well versed with VBA can easily get this done by simply following the video on how to use this code.

Thank you, brilliant, this worked well, so easy and clean and has been a big help. I also modified the code slightly to pick up .csv files instead of excel files. Now to find out how to merge all the tabs into one. It would be even simpler if the code was just pasted in the comments. Thanks again for posting such clear video. It worked for me, I merged 184 files. In my case I had to modify the 4th line slightly, since I was merging .csv files. So I changed the .xls part to .csv and ran the script. Thanks a lot.

It worked very well for me. Pay attention to the type of file you are trying to combine. The formulas provided are for 'xls' and 'xlsx'. use the proper formatting for the proper files and it should work well for you. Thanks for the short cut!!!!
