Combine Records from Multiple Tables or Queries Together Using a Union Query in Microsoft Access

In this video, I'm going to show you how to use a Union Query to combine the results from two tables with similar fields, such as customers and employees, into one dataset.
Sara from Bar Harbor, Maine (a Platinum Member) asks: I've got a table for customers and a separate table for employees. Is there any way to join them together in a single query so that I can generate reports like mailing labels in one shot. Right now I have to do everything twice and have two separate reports for everything.

Figured out the report numbering issue! 1. Create unbound text box (Top-Left) - Details section 2. Control Source = 1 3. Running Sum = Over Group

Hi Richard. Another excellent video. I gotta question regarding union queries. Can union queries form relationships with other queries or tables to form another query? Usually I can't seem to have it working and if it does, it takes so much time!

Yes, you technically CAN create relationships with Union queries, although I don't see why you'd want to.

When I use the Union query, it always gifs a conflict. Two tabels will not give the correct values for a yes/no selection

That's a tricky one. So you're saying you have multiple customers that have the EXACT same address, and you want to put them together... how and why?
