The Nihilanth also tried to warn Gordon. - He killed many Metrocops, who had join the Combine for better meals and a better place to live. - He killed many Combine Soldiers who were once a normal person with a ordinary life before the Combine Brainwash. But without Gordon, what the world would be? Gordon had no choice to do. Many might think Gordon is a bad character for killing many, but Gordon doesn't even speak and we don't know what pass in his mind after the Resonance Cascade and the Combine Oppression. Gordon is still human like us and have feelings, he just don't show it.
