I love DCS/combined arms. It’s like a more realities battlefield with a stiff and painful learning curve lol. But much more fun and awesome. This is one of my favorite IFVs....it’s a beautiful platform.

Nice video! Also: different vehicles have slightly different setups. In the ZBD-04A, you use "fire secondary weapon (default Lshift+space) to fire coax machine gun. Works on this and several tanks. Other tanks, you cycle through HE, AP, coax using the "turret weapon select" Personally, I prefer driving around using F7 view for SA...but you won't hit the broadside of a barn with the broadside of another barn trying to fight that way

The 100mm gun is indeed rifled, and has a fairly low muzzle velocity, so it's not like what you'd see on a T-55 - the IFV couldn't handle the recoil of something like that. It can fire HE shells though and anti-tank guided missiles. Edit: Iirc these russian-made ATGMs are laser beamriders, similar to those used by the Ka-50 and Su-25T.

The missiles were spinning, so makes sense that rifling would work fine with them.

@@Maeyanie That has more to do with their steering - like the Vikhr they may only have one servo to steer in two directions, so the missile has to spin.

@@Gneckes I meant that more that if the missile _wasn't_ spinning, then rifling would cause it problems, and they'd have to use a smooth-bore barrel. But since it was spinning, that doesn't mean it can't be rifled.

@@grimreapers Also, IIRC Challenger 2 uses a 120mm rifled main gun, to facilitate the HESH ammunition. Compared to the M908 american HE-FS round, the L31 HESH is supposed to have a larger explosive charge, but I couldn't find any reliable sources.

Ground campaign incoming!?!? Everyone uses ground units and maybe just a couple people can use helicopters/aircraft?? Maybe go against each other in taking over a town?? Also record comms from both teams to catch their reactions when they get bombed. :P DCS could be amazing if the ground units were modeled as well as the aircraft.

Hey Cap, can you maybe make a video on the radio of the A-4E? I can’t seem to get it working. And even when I activate easy communication nothing is showing up in my comms menu. Maybe I am doing something wrong or it's not implemented. *Thanks for all the videos you guys do by the way!*

The A-4 radio has not been implemented. Prob never will be.
