I sang this in my choir at our spring finale the year I graduated in 1992. I wanted to search for a recording & reminisce. I didn’t think I was going to find a decent recording of this. When I saw this title said “combined choirs,” I figured a large choir like this would be sloppy. But I should’ve trusted to select this recording first after listening to every other small ensemble butcher it, sounding unrehearsed, This choir has actually been taught. Great recording for such a large group. Way to lineup those rhythms. I can tell it was well-rehearsed with a mature group of talented choir students that cared.

I agree with you, i sang it during our graduation ceremony with my choir co members too. Very inspiring song until now i have been listening to it with deeper understanding compared 15 years ago. Their tempo was a bit higher than ours still their blending is pristine.

I have sung this song for the past 3 years at my school from 6th-8th grade and it's kinda cool to think that I used to sing it to the other 8th Graders that were going on to High School but now it's me moving on to High School. It's also cool that my school's mascot is an Eagle lol.
