Its getting to be too much for me and the snapping of my edge line baby let me tell you, i lost 2 and i am loosing my mind. I have to keep these edge.. lol and I'm wanting them to be that size too.. My husband is more excited than I am and Im like whatttt.. lol. I love it and can't wait until you do the first retie on them and watch the process of those beautiful locs transform. I did the same with my Sisterlocks! It became to be a lot after moving from my home state and not being able to find a consistent person to retighten my hair. I learned to do it myself and combined my Sisterlocks after having a lot of breakage. I also had someone do them and cut a lot of my locks off. Overall my hair is thinner than when I started out. I've had them 7 years total. I also interlock. I think it lasts longer and looks better. I'm thinking of getting mine cut in a asymmetric bob. Your hair looks gorgeous! Enjoy your journey!

I love them the way they are. I feel like the little extra thickness they provide suits you. I may be biased though since I have regular locs instead of sisterlocs

I love them combined. I looked into sister locs and it is a process to do. I then found microlocs and small locs. I ended with small locs and have around 250. I also am able to palm roll instead of interlocking. That process scared me in all that can go wrong and I’m not a hair person. Sister locs can be a cult I found. Love your hair .

Im glad your doing what makes you happy with your hair, it’s look great on you sis! I actually had traditional locs about the size of your braid locs and i had them for 5 years, they were too heavy for me and my hair is thick so braiding and styling was out of the question.. you and another youtuber is actually the reason why me and my mom got sisterlocks🥰 they are beautiful and lighter and easier for me to style, thank you for sharing your loc journey with us and i will continue to follow you on your braidloc journey as well!

I think the new size is great! My concern is that these are new locs that will begin the budding and swelling process just like before, and about 3 years later, they might be more than a little bit bigger than they are now. Like medium or large traditional type locs. Interlocking might not be possible after that, may have to palm roll. But none of that is a bad thing, if you don’t mind them ending up more than a little bit bigger in the long run. But if you really like this new size you have now and want them this size in the long run, then combining just two sisterlocs or three at the most might have been the way to go, to have them end up to this current size in the long run. Just give this some consideration. Good going though. Locs are awesome.
@Jadison034 жыл бұрын
The “situation” caused me to have to retighten my sisterlocks. I accidentally combined a few whole interlocking but I’m not mad about it. I’m strongly thinking of combining now and self maintaining! Thx for the inspiration! I love your hair!

I love your combined locs beautiful!! I also combined my sisterlocks and idk how many I have but this is new for me and I love it. I think we started our loc journey around the same time too! It took 60hrs for my trainee to install my sisterlocks and then 15hrs for her to retighten them. After 2 weeks, she finished in April 2017 so this April, I celebrated 3 years of growing out my locs. This is when I started to combine mine and that’s exactly what I did. I feel everything you’ve said and appreciate you for always keeping us up on your journey! That’s just it... it’s a PERSONAL JOURNEY!! Embrace it beautiful!! ❤️❤️❤️
@got2bfaster4 жыл бұрын
I just counted mine and I have 187 (I’ll have to try again with rubber bands lol) but I had a significant drop because I started with about 650 sisterlocks but the important thing is that you love your hair. I didn’t do braids just twists and keeping the grid wasn’t something I considered this go around. Tbh when my roots would grow, I’d like the fullness better so mine are like a free spirited type of locs lol

I think it’s great. I found your video because I was trying to find out what I could do to my hair. I have been contemplating cutting them off and starting over but I’ve gotten accustomed to my long hair. Within the last couple of months I’ve being trying to retighten my own hair and it literally took me a week and the second time after 11 hours I gave up. I no longer want to spent so ouch time on my retighten and not have it completely retighten. I feel it take away from the love of my hair. Breathe So thanks for sharing I’m going to combine my locks and maybe I won’t have to cut them off to start over.

I love the hair! Remember it is your hair. I know you asked for feedback, but at the end of the day, you are only pleasing yourself (plus your hubby loves it, that is all that counts). I too have sisterlocks and wanted them bigger so I combined most of them. I did not care what people thought. I hate the fact that we spend so much time criticizing instead of uplifting each other. I bought my tool on Amazon (bigger size) and I love it. Enjoy your hair. Blessings 🙏🏾
