Combing my Locs out after 1 year |STARTING OVER |Porshé Nichelle

Hello beautiful people! Welcome to my channel. After having my locs for a year and four months I decided to comb them out for a few good reasons. I will miss them but I am even more excited for the new journey to begin. To comb out my locs I used a rat tail comb, fine tooth comb, deep conditioner and water

I personally loc my hair to grow it then comb it out. This is my 3rd set and I’m currently combing them out after 2 years. Almost done🤧

I just recently restarted mines. I had 117 locs in my first set and it took me 5 night (about 4-5 hrs each) to comb them all out. I was tendered in the center before but after combing them all out lord my head was on fire.😭

That's how I feel about my locs, the sizing is off and I over manipulated my locs, I also had a lot happen within the last year or so. I really want to start over but I'm stuck. Once I make the decision to start over I'm going to focus on the health internally and externally to make sure my hair grows properly

I’m on my second set of locs because the first set was braidlocs and I didn’t like how they were forming so skinny and then my second set i still didn’t have the knowledge of the hair dye and bleach I kept them in for five years and then in 2020 i shaved my head bald to grow new hair and make sure my hair was healthy enough for my third set that I recently just started myself on June 20 2023 i wanted to have thick locs so I made my section’s bigger i have 27 starters locs I wish you luck on your new journey queen keep your hair so if you get some thinning on your new set you can added to the thinning parts

I feel you sis, i have been growing locs since 2000, cut them when covid started, grew them back and just finished my comb out -- ready for the next chapter.... enjoy the journey

Wow, this is exactly the reason I’m taking mine out but don’t know if I’ll get it them back because my hair is so fine. If I do it’ll be big parts (less locs) or sisterlocks. Going to check out you more recent vids.

I have the same problem, my hair density is low and my hair is somewhat on the finer side. I’m hoping sister or microlocs are a better option since they create less tension and take up less space.

Thankfully my ends weren’t locked. I think that played a part. I used ALOT of water and deep conditioner and worked slowly (it took me a week).

I literally cringe watching you comb them out without using more conditioner along with water & detangle product😩 you was literally “dry combing” that’s why you loss so much hair 😮‍💨

I literally show the deep conditioner I used along with my spray bottle with water/ aloe vera juice and conditioner my hair was definitely wet. I’m too tender headed to be coming my hair dry, locs or not.
