Great job! I'm definitely convinced I can do it; my locks are at my bum so I'm already cramping and crying just at the idea 😢😅

I've already committed to shave my head if I ever decide to loc my hair. I just know I couldn't go through this process. This is only my personal choice for myself. Good luck to everyone and their own choices. ❤

I just started combing out my locs. I started in the back of my head. I fell asleep and woke up feeling guilty for combing it out and considered combining the loose hair into my other locs in the back. Then later on in the day, I wanted to continue combing out my locs. I don't know what to do. I might be coping with some trauma.

@@iamme50 aww 🫂, just remember why you decided to comb them out, hopefully that will lessen the guilt

I just started coming out one of mine and have been watching the videos of others hair after. I have 4c hair and Im concerned 😂

The only reason why I could never lock is the fact that it takes too much effort to undo it. You are patient my dear. I would've just cut it all off 😢

I’m growing my locs out straight no twisting it grows out and locs up without me twisting. I did it like this because I know I might comb the out in the future and I’m hoping to keep a lot because it will be easier to comb out🌺

Why is the hair so short after the locks are removed?
@ldipkin16 күн бұрын
Pardon me if my explanation is incorrect, as I do not have this hair type, but my understanding is that there is a lot of shedded hair in locs, which eventually contributes to their overall length alongside the hairs that are still attached to the head. So in combing out the locs, this shedded hair is coming out which may make it seem like the hair is suddenly short. Also, in case like me you don't have afro hair, I would also assume a lot of the length difference can be explained by the shrinkage rate of coily hair types. But please forgive me if this explanation comes across as patronising or has factual inaccuracies, it is not my intention at all and I hope this helps! ❤
