There is a lot to this i dont get but one thing was shaking them off the frames that went into the box anyway ? And then comb honey vs what ? As said before i got a lot of learning to do.

Sometimes I shake off the bees before putting the frame back in so I don't "roll" the bees between the frames when there isn't much room and a lot of bees. With comb honey you use wax foundation so you can cut the comb out of the frame and it is all edible. For my liquid honey I use plastic foundation that the bees build wax comb on to store the honey. I can then spin out the honey without destroying all the work they did building the comb and reuse it over and over. Make sense??

@@keithspillman yes. Thank you. Found out my friend with a small farm used to do bees. I joked we were going to do it with no hood and with no smile he said he didn't have one. He works his tail off and didn't seem too fired up about doing it again. I'll keep working on him 😆

Like you said,they may grow to be a very strong colony and produce a lot of honey for you!

Good video Keith, my guess is that they will draw a few frames out enough so you can make some chunk honey. You need 50-60k bees to make good fast comb honey. You probably only have 30k in the box now. But who knows, you may have a mostour honey flow and you will need to add another box. LOL Have a great day.
