Combining Diablo III with Diablo IV by printing and painting a resin figurine! This one is massive!

Hi there!
While new dolls are still in the making, I finally finished this one massive side project!
It's a resin figurine of Diablo III Barbarian girl that I printed and painted.
It was just my second time doing this and this figurine is massive! So many elements! I definitely bit more than I could chew with this one...
It took me 7 months, but she is finally finished!
A little different than what I usually show you, but I still hope that you will enjoy the process :)

For the supports for resin prints there are also programs that help with placing them. As always your work is great and I love that you don't give up when you run into problems and ask for help if needed.

Yeah... I have the hands of a blacksmith, but usually I do wear gloves when touching resin. I was raised in a household with a Mistress of Spoilers - aka my mom, so I know how annoying they can be :P

I absolutely Love watching you grow and learn new things, and you definitely went to the right person. Leona is amazing! It was especially awesome to hear you back up what Leona has been saying (shouting) for years... that doll customization and garage kit/figurine painting are two different beasts. Sure, they can mix and marry at times, but they're always going to be their own individual things. I absolutely love your doll customs, but Im also really looking forward to you exploring more with resin figurines as well. Maybe one day you will even start 3d modeling your own!

Learning how to 3d model is my dream :) For now though, my attempts to learn the Blender program were.... not that successful XD But I am stubborn after all! :) Leona is amazing :) After all she is a Resin Queen :D And yes, those are totally different mediums, but there's always some stuff that we can learn from each other, so it is worth to explore those other mediums to level up our own craftsmanship :)

one print tip ive found with resin prints is you can change the contact shape of the piece that goes from the truss to the part, you can shrink it down so its like a fine little fiber, use no "contact shape" at all and use a high-ish density, the parts peel away from the support structure almost like velco, its cool.

Absolutely gorgeous work. As for painting the rein with a layer of resin is a common technique used for smoothing resin prints (at least on channels that I watch). However it is the first time I have seen someone paint the pieces separated, so thank you for sharing this interesting technique and sharing your process, fails, struggles and ultimate successes. I hope you will try to do more customised/altered resin printing figurines soon. Gentle hugs 😊

Glad that I didn’t do anything banned in a resin figurine world :D Leona always paints the pieces separately and I also saw a lot of miniature painters assembling their minis after painting (to be able to get everywhere). I was a lil bit afraid that it won’t look cohesive, but it ended up quite good :)

Thank you! I am just familiar with body blushing with pastels and I am happy it worked well here :) But I did layering and glazing on the Butcher and I would love to learn how to paint a realistic human skin like that in the future :)
