My opening hand had a Mountain, Lotus Pedal, Mana Crypt, Jeweled Lotus, and Escape Velocity. Turn 1 I played Dargo and Jeska. Gave Dargo haste and swung lethal damage.

I love the synergy with partner Armix, as Armix can -X/-X damned near anything every time it attacks, which helps to provide early and consistent removal against their strongest creature to allow Dargo to be more advantageous in combat.

When Dargo was first spoiled my first thoughts was that this guy was going to be completely busted. I especially like how synergistic he is Treasure. Also with the Anax interaction you do get two tokens. So in addition to having one token to sac you'll have a second one to keep around

Yeah, I didn't include the second token just for spacing sake. But that is something to keep in mind. Although the Satyrs can't block. But with 1 million of them that can attack, who cares if they can block.

I'm interested too. I think the turn 2 kill is very viable the more I look at it. Lots of cheap mana out there and 0 cost sackable artifacts.

@@KingofJank I have won at least one game with Drago/Jeska turn 4 in cEDH. You can do the aggro plan better than any other deck in the format because 4 man is so much less than 10. It also gets some interesting cards in it and you can play either for the short game, casting Dargo and punishing people who play creature light. It also helps that besides the Wheel the Dargo deck is very good at pressuring life totals vs many AdNaus builds. You have enough free spells to deal with the really problematic cards. The only thing I think you suffer against is wheel breach, because you don't get to interact with the Underworld Breach. Though Hullbreacher is so strong I expect wheel decks to become less popular, or at least be playing more removal.

the deck i'm tuning now is Jeska and Radiant Serra Archangel, - Serra is 6/4 so the mission is to be able to get Serra to 7 power (equips, auras, instants, enchantments) - the tuning part i'm on now is finding flying weenies that have useful secondary abilities. since serra is part of the command i like stuff like angels and angelic stuff to have a tribal aspect. - stuff that can give me a second combat phase would be the sideboard(relentless assault, response||resurgence)in case i'm in 3 or more player games, so i can remove two players or more if the draw works out. - problems are mana ramp and how to tutor artifacts and enchantments and also maybe creatures... red white... Serra is 7 mana(1W6other), *I expect by the time Serra is out I should have enough flyers to use her ability to keep her on the table. And each turn is a dead player once it's my turn.

Jeweled lotus coutns for 5 mana btw, not 3. 2 colourless for the sac due to dargo's ability and 3 red!

Your premise from the start is incorrect, dargo only checks for things sacrificed with his ability. Flinging him makes you need to resac things for the additional casting cost.

Nah you're forgetting the blue siren pirate that creates treasure tokens when you attack. Do battlephase stuff and use dargo as another threat

So if he drago dies doesn't he cost additional 2 to cast or you just cast him from the command zone using his ability for the same cost for example drago dies goes command zone I sacrifice three Artifact and tap one red to recast him or do I tab three instead? Can someone please help

Wanna partner him with Nadier. Nadier gives extra tokens for Dargo which in turn will help pump Nadier if he's in the battlefield.

Mono red isn’t good enough for parter with jeska and dargo. I’m pretty pleased with tymna, getting tutors to be more consistent with phyrexian altar or thermopod. I get a robust aristocrat deck with multiple etb, die triggers, and infinite mana loops.

I'm sure you could get the loop going turn 2 with the right finely tuned deck, for a full pod kill. But the turn 2 jeska for to kill one opponent is actually pretty viable. A opening hand with Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, Lotus Petal and a Mountain will get you there too. Hell even the zero drop sac artifacts like tormod's crypt and the baubles pretty much become a one time mana rock that taps for 2.

@@KingofJank Me again, someone who saw this pairing and just started brewing. You can also play a ton of stax cards because almost none of them are negatives for you. You get to play Blood moon/Magus of the moon/Trinisphere/Cursed Totem/Chailce of the Void/Thorn of Amethyst pretty much for free because they slow down the game for your slower hands. First turn Trinisphere then Second turn Dargo is still huge, especially if you can cast Jeska because NOBODY CAN COUNTER THOSE YET.

would the commander tax stop the combo cause it increase by 2 mana every time you cast him from the command zone? he wouldnt cost 3 mana after the first time you sack him with phyrexian alter the first time? i watched the explanation but i think im missing something.

or technically is his cost after sacking him to phyrexian alter negative 2 and 1 red? so the commander tax would increase but his casting cost still get reduced to negavtive 4 and 1 red and so on and so forth?

He is counting all sac creatures and artifacts, so if you sac dargo, he will see it for his next cast, negating the commander taxe :) As long as you generate one red (or have red mana open), you'll be able to sac him as much as you want. The important part being that you need an instant speed sac outlet to be sure nobody can break the cycle :)
