Totally agree. Absolutely best.... lol maybe I'm a little bit biased, but outta the 3Ds SC2 and T7 are on my top. Wish sc2 had a decent online netcode for PlayStation or make one for steam.

It is WILD to see Soul Calibur 1 + 2 showing up in tournaments. I have both games (1 on the dreamcast; 2 on the PS2) as options for the game club I run. The students have adapted to both games so fast. Makes me laugh.

Mick was a great man. A true gentleman. I know he had a little difficulty adjusting after coming back from the war, but he always took care of his own ppl. He has a huge heart. I was lucky enough to chat w him one last time during our local stream. He asked me if I was a married Lady yet. That made me crack up!

JWong truly the FGC goat for putting so many top 8s of amazing, slept on, underrated fighting game tournaments up on his channel. This and Bloody Roar: Primal Fury are the games that got me into fighting games.

@@chernobyln KNR was the only Kilik in this tournament and Kilik in general was a not-common pick in high level play back in the day. I personally always felt he was good, probably upper-mid, but the work you had to do for him (and the risks you had to take) with him are far different from the rest of the cast and frankly most people would just rather pick XIanghua lol. Raph is mid/low tier but being low tier in this game is kind of meaningless, everyone's really strong and the gaps are not huge between tiers. To get a proper taste of why Raph is not great in this game, though, look at the Raph mirror in this video: you can see a lot of instances of moves you'd think have some tracking (2K, Throw... sometimes horizontals) just get hyper obliterated by any sort of lateral movement lol. He probably has the most exploitable-to-step movelist in the game. If Necrid and Yunsung didn't exist he'd probably be the worst in the game.

​@@JohnK00416:34 shows them using original hardware on the bottom right of the video. It looks like they're using USB adapters to convert from their preferred controller to PS2 inputs. The video quality looks like it could be composite as it looks a bit fuzzy, which would make sense as that's the easiest cable to buy for the system (component is kinda pricey and hard to find OEM from what I remember).
