Very cool to to have BJ on and have him interact so seamlessly through ASL!!
@dadude2140 Жыл бұрын
I'm assuming the interpreter has to take a bunch of shortcuts to keep up with the speaking speed, but so interesting if anyone knows if he's actually signing the names of the cards! Imagine needing to know "Cryptolith Rite", "Urza's Bauble", and "Emry, Lurker of the Loch" in ASL!
@jasonr9912 Жыл бұрын
@@dadude2140 interpreters typically spell out the names of the cards with the English alphabet through "fingerspelling". (You can learn fingerspelling too - there's plenty of KZbin videos to learn from.) However, if the name of the card contains a word that can be signed, they'll often do that instead! For example, they'd probably sign A V A C Y N O F
@CommanderSpellbook Жыл бұрын
@@dadude2140 BJ here, @jasonr9912 nailed it in the head. Many of the cards already have sign name for it unless it's unique, we usually spell it.

@@CommanderSpellbook My first true combo deck was built around Ranar the Everwatchful. It used to have tons of combos, but got a (probably very wise) edit that removed most of them. I found, submitted, and got approved the Ranar + Portcullis combo. I was thrilled. Thanks again for the amazing site.

another fun combo I found with Raggadragga was Raggadragga + any manadork that taps for the amount of power it is, there are about 4 or 5 of those, Marwyn being one of them and the last card is spine of ish sah, which costs 7, which is the magical number and when it etbs it destroys target permanent, you will have it target itself and it will go to the graveyard and once it does that it goes back to your hand, you will then rinse and repeat this until you mana dork in finitely large and it has trample and it can just kill someone, if you have several of these out, all of them are infinitely large and have trample. so some of these manadorks are: Marwyn the nurturer, Viridian joiner, Heronblade Elite and Alena, kessig trapper, once your dork is infinitely large she taps for that much too. there are probably others, but those are what I have in my deck.
