It's Agni not Agony, Agni means fire in Hindi language but also the Indian God of Fire and while Rudra actually has a couple of meanings, they're all associated with the Indian God of Destruction 'Shiva' who has many other names and titles as well. One of which is 'the God of Storms' and both the swords are inspired from these two powers of Gods, Fire and Storm in the very basic sense. However, not only that but all the other meanings and depictions of Rudra also closely align with the character of Rudra and the characteristics of the sword in the game and same goes for Agni, respectively

Just say to hell with the timing and mash it out, DMC 3 crazy combos and JC’s don’t punish you for missing the timing if you spam the button, if anything it’s kinda the only way to reliably do it on SE cause the input delay.

because the location of the enemy hitbox where you can jc from is different,in 3 its literally the heads,in 4 and 5 its a hitbox which is largely comes from the middle of the enemys bodies and not only their head(4 is the hardest with hitboxes being able to rotate in the air and being mega strict with how close you have to be to be able to jc)

Depends what you desire in a combo etc. Juggling is way easier in 5 but it has more variety in the air and combos. If we're just talking about juggling and fall speed than 3 to 5 is like a stone to a feather.

got into dmc like a month ago. played chronologically, so dmc3 -> dmc1 -> dmc2 (ugh) -> dmc4 -> dmc5. I lowkey want to go back to dmc3 because it's such a great game but christ was it difficult. Definitely wouldn't recommend it as a first game in the series, especially for someone like me, without experience in similar games. My whole game play was just spam shot/b gunslinger to remain in the air and avoid boss attacks. I fucking cheesed it through on easy and beat Vergil with f Beowulf. It was so fun though holy shit. Nevan kicked my ass because i was so impatient with her attack and she sucked me dry constantly.

Not gonna lie I've been playing on and off dmc3 for a little more than 5 years, and it took me 1 year to figure out that each weapon has a "crazy combo", aka mash style/action button really fast. Took me 2 years to beat dmd and bloody palace, 3 years in finding the elemental affliction for each enemy, 4 years to get all S ranks in each mode (not even doing SS mind you), and 5 years to find the damage modifiers for each difficulty and DT stun mechanics. What I'm trying to day is, the more I keep thinking I've learned everything about this game, the more secrets I unlock.

After all these years, I still struggle with dmc3 comboing ngl. Like, I'm not ass at it, I would say I'm better than the average person that picks it up, and even say I'm good at it, but I'm not high level at it at all. I really just stick with 5, because well...I just personally enjoy playing it more, and it gives me more freedom because of how loose it feels to me, if that makes any sense. It feels like the work I'm putting in is actually being rewarded, and actually paying off. For me 3 is super tight, and 5 is super loose. I like both, but I just personally prefer 5. I prefer the looseness to move around, and do whatever I want, instead of being tightly bound. (Also, a lot of the enemies in 3 I just fucking hate fighting, and i dont really like how 3 is so limited with its loadouts. At least the non-Switch versions. Switch version of 3 is the best verson, dont @ me.)
