Nice haul! I was so surprised to learn one of your young daughter's have so much love for "A Coat of Many Colors" ! That song really has some years on it and is a beautiful song. You hit jackpot on the Dolly items. The undies really tickled me especially when you mentioned no socks l8ke you usually buy lol I don't know if it's "just a southern thing" or not but I will say as a kid AND adult...the underwear/sock box was always my top gift of joy!

Oh wow your girls are going to be over the moond with these lovely gifts! I grew up in the 90's, and in a post communist country (the system collapsed in 1990). I was a bigger girl when Barbie dolls started to be available to buy, so I did not own a lot. I remember the Barbie (Mattel?) shop with the collectible dolls when I was a young teen. I'm in California and our fast food places don't usually have biscuits and gravy unfortunately. We can usually get them at small cafes and diners though and I think Denny's still has them here. My sister and I used to go black friday shopping every year. She'd pick me up at 4am. We'd stop and get a coffee and stand in the long line waiting to get in. I remember it'd be so dang cold! We'd usually be done around 2 then go out to eat afterwards. So much fun. Ya'll look like you had a blast. Hardees has the best breakfast platter in my opinion

Love this! It brought me back to the KMART blue light special after Thanksgiving late night sales. (Not called Black Friday yet). My best find one year was a huge Tonka dump truck for a dollar! I'm 71 and my Black Friday shopping is me sitting in my recliner with a diet coke and a tablet and a toilet nearby. I miss those days . Guess I'll live vicariously through you sweet ladies. BTW I'm just north of Boston and no biscuits and gravy at our McDonald's.

We didn't know if very many places would be open in our town, but we went anyway and found some good stuff. My favorite thing I found was these HUGE squishmallows that were $15 last year. My girls love them 😂

Sister and I took mom Black Friday shopping once. It was mom’s idea, we didn’t want to go. But we did. It was a HOOT! Mom was ornery about half way thru and wanted to fight the lady who rammed her cart into mom’s butt repeatedly. We had to send her outside for a break! Next store, someone tried to take something out of our cart and mom was about to throw down. We decided she was a little too volatile to keep shopping so we got breakfast. She said she was ready to shop more. She really wasn’t. We skimmed two more “MUST” stores for her and headed home. I recall NOTHING of what we bought, just the hootin’ fun! Good times!

How funny! We have some fun stories lol. Dusty got mobbed over waffle makers, my best friend from high school got shoved in the whole giant box display of towels and was throwing towels to people who wanted them, we saw full grown women fist fight over cabbage patch dolls. It was the craziest of times, but so many fun memories.

I miss black friday shopping. It's not the same as it used to be, but my sister and I would always make friends with people around us, and we'd all help each other out once the items were available. I started doing the black friday shopping when I was around 13-14, I think. We never had any issues with fights or anything like that.

I'm so glad you 2 got to spend some quality sister time together & had fun. However I'm not a girly girl so IDK about the whole makeup & dress up thing. I was/am a tomboy at heart & always had been. I hope they enjoy them though. 🙂 Now coming from the former WM associate side of me that had to guard those pallets you liked to dive into.... I have sworn off ANY Black Friday shopping of any kind. I've experienced the mad & crazy shoppers at 5a guarding pallets from those that would try to take items before it started. (I guarded said pallets for hours from y'all.)
