You have to take into account water table and flooding are major factors to divert water away and eliminate humidity and mold. Have a plumbing leak, you need to break the solid surfaces to get to pipes. Above ground is prefered because it is cheaper, and easier and more familiar to repair. There has been a movement in part of New Zealand of underground bunkers built by the wealthy incase of emergency beneath their seasonal mansions. But it is a very sustainable design for some locations, eliminating all need for A/C indoors.

Or you could express your position by finding a different place to live while protesting the existence of this monstrosity that is a danger to wildlife and move out in protest! If I was in your position and I really wanted to back-up my point of view, I would give up my home for the birds, regardless of the costs and detriment this would cause my children and spouse, or economic damage to my community. Houses with windows should NEVER be built where there's any chance birds will fly into dangerous situations such as reflective windows.

The homeless problem in the USA is partly the result of greed. Some choose that life style, but many have been forced into it. I recieve a check from SS as well as working 2 part-time jobs, and still cannot afford a place of my own. I love this purple and violet coloured Bag Ji Do (박지도), this wonderful Island. The abbreviation 반월 Ban Wol on this sign from <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="85">1:25</a> on literally means Half Moon. They were several places that have différents Tree houses in Mont-Tremblant and others amazing place Then the Hôtel de Glaces and its village in Quebec City. @@oluwatoyinolajide2966 it was fun we play in the grave yards and in the storm tunnels under cypress lawn cemetery.. they also have big duck ponds we played in.. the cemetery was the best place to fly a kite and play king of the mountain on the dirt piles they had for filling graves.. this was back in the 1970’s in the 1980’s we dropped lsd and smoked pot in the cemeteries.. those were the best days of my life truely

Being narrow doesn't disqualify it per say. Buildings have to meet standards of being energy efficient. You calculate the loss of energy to the environment. Unless having state of the art insulation - it would fail. There's a huge surface compared to the room inside. The "climate screen" would most likely be deemed ineffective. I like it as a piece of art. It's livable but impractical. Provocative art questioning the concept of living space. It might be the physical representation of the actual space you're using in a full size house. It's well built a lot of thoughts and craftsmanship went into it. I like the house - but living in it... I'll pass - it's impractical. There's hardly any room for enjoying music on a decent stereo. The one buying it paid a premium price, seeing it as investment - not as a home. It became a statement in its own right. People will be paying a fortune for a very small house they don't intend to be living in. The price is pretentious.

A home on an extra wide lot by me was eyed by a builder for demolition, but his plans for a six unit condo building meant each unit's width did not meet code requirements and so the project fell through.
