Hate going to the dentist. And I'm not a fan of historical romance either. And unfortunately, my fave used book store here. Has a huge romance section and most of it is historical. Usually I just check out the small paranormal section instead. Be looking for Lynsay Sands paranormal books for my bestie. I got her into Lynsay after I fell in love with Lynsay's books. Especially since my bestie and I grew up less than an hour from Lynsay's hometown. So gotta support her work for sure❤

I love how we had dentist appt the same day and were both dreading it. my dentist is also great but the damn noises of the hypersonic cleaning thing really drive me nuts

Unsolicited advice here, I have high anxiety about dentist too but that changed for me when I explained it and what caused it. Now, I’m prescribed medication that I take the night before and then again an hour before my appointment. I then tell them to turn the gas on and kick it over. I also use headphones and AirPods to block out the noises. I know prescription meds aren’t the answer for everyone so you may not want to go down that road. I just throw it out there when someone mentions their own fear and anxiety because I wish I’d known it years ago. And if you ever need extensive work then you can be put to sleep…. For a price. But just eliminating the sounds had a huge impact for me too.

Ahhh thank you!!! I actually do get my prescription filled when I need to have a root canal or anything major done 🫣 but I’ll def try out the trick with the headphones! The noises are the worst part for me so I can’t believe I didn’t think of that! 💕

@@HonestFictionthe sounds really get to me too. I even take a blanket and wore a hoodie to put my phone but that was before AirPods. But between the meds and the gas, I can typically fall asleep. #coping

Lol omg the owner of The Booktrader.....doesnt have the best customer service skills we shall say. She's hit or miss every time i go there but their romance selection is what keeps me going back
