Heard this song literally yesterday on a walk. Me, being the Kim Possible brat I grew up as, I immediately filled in the visuals and realized what, precisely, I had on my hands. Had to be made. Someone had to make it. Might as well be me.
Gill has always been my favorite KP villain. He's a fish man. He's Black Lagoon for kids. He's covered in mutagenic goop. What's not to love? His debut ep rocked my world because of how it played with horror tropes in a generally lighthearted setting, and I literally spent the ENTIRE time since that airing waiting for his second coming. And they made me wait for it, but the payoff was GOOD. Wish they hadn't made him so weirdly buff, though - his first design was aces and it's the one I always use when I write for him. That said, looks are just looks, and he hasn't lost a step in that second ep, especially during the "I wanted to be greener" monologue. Mwah mwah. Definitely had a crush on him when I was a tween/teen but didn't have the language to put a proper label on it; it's only after the fact that I'm like "Oh I wanted to kiss the fish man when I was his age." And let me be clear: this was as of only seeing the first fish form. No idea and barely speculation on his human form, though I guess the flashback gave us what he looked like as a youngin, but I didn't really care because I was in it for the scales and slime, babey
(Even if I did write a cringe-A fanfic at that age that was a fanmade episode where he returned to human form, redeemed, and hooked up with Bonnie, and I don't know WHAT I was even thinking because that literally removes everything fun about him)
Also, I had forgotten they implied he has camouflage powers in his second design. I might have to re-incorporate that into the version I write. For fun.
The ending of this song especially sold it because I believe the intent is to make you question whether there really ever was a haunted lake or if the narrator did in fact murder his friends. And I could just...SEE human!Gill telling the cops afterward that he doesn't know what happened to those cheerleaders, the lake just swallowed them, the monster got 'em, they're gone without a trace...and then he walks off laughing because he was the monster the whole time. That is absolutely the shenaniganery he would pull if he ever had interest in using his human face again.

Oooooh really great video for an underrated baddie. Never heard of this song, but it's a friggin jam and works perfectly for Gill. Especially love the ambigious nature of it.

What an unbelievable coincidence that I saw "So The Drama" while working on "Outta My Mind" before watching this. Anyway. Good vid. Love the effects.
