The story about the girl in your seminary class with the taped Book of Mormon is incredible. Thanks so much for sharing, it reminds me it’s so important to follow promptings, imagine if you didn’t choose to pick up that copy. But because you did, the sequence of events happened the way they did.. beautiful!

I just placed a Book of Mormon in the library at our vacation condo. I wrote my testimony in the front, but also added a letter in the back of it testifying of God. Maybe someone will pick it up. You inspired me.

This example brought me to tears. My kids are young adults who are REALLY "pooping all over their crates" right now. This example/reminder of how Heavenly Father treats us really softens my heart & humbles me because of my own "poopy crate", and gives me more tenderness (and greater hope) with my children's "poopy crates" mistakes.😥🩷🩷🩷

The testimony at church is such a tender reminder of our Father’s love for us. I am awaiting the arrival of a new puppy and I want to remember this sweet story as I deal with same issues ( hopefully with as much love).

I discovered with our new puppy that if their crate is too big they will often mess in it, the crate needs to be the size where they can comfortably stand/lay down, but no more room than that. As they grow they'll need larger crates Initially, people will often (understandably) get crates the size they think their dog will be as an adult, which makes potty training a puppy harder.

“Opportunities to build are in great abundance” so good! And I’ve been pondering building, legacy, what kind of mom I want my little girl to know and remember so I was hanging on every word 💕 the whole world needs this lesson and the cutest worksheet ever 😊 I am doing the tender mercies poster, I haven’t got this years posters yet so I still have “Finisher” up for the names of Christ because that’s what I need. I recently ran and finished a half marathon at Disneyland, which made me think of Emily 😊 and no way I could’ve finished on my own. I’ve really been working on leaning on Christ and trusting Him and Heavenly Father to make more of my life than I can without them. I would love to more deeply study being a builder and a finisher! Wonderful as always, sorry for the novel, thanks for all you do!

I love this line “It’s my right to be happy!” I lost one of my two sisters 3 1/2 years ago and oh how I miss her, I could share anything with her and there were times that she’d ask me why was I or how could I be so happy! I love His gift, my tender loving heart, it gets broken and smashed and trampled often, but hasn’t given up yet, show me a smile and my heart goes pitter-patter, no matter whose smile I see! I love HAPPINESS

So...when you were going over the part about the many different Joseph's in Chapter 3 and wondering if JSjr ever went back to read through it over and over it made me remember the cute little bookstore in Provo that I visited with my dad this past summer. One of the ladies who works there shared tons of information on the artifacts and books they carry (it's like a little museum) and she told us she had a surprise to show us at the end. She went to go get it once the tour was over and she came back out with Joseph Smith Jr's personal thumb bible!! I didn't really know that was a thing, I'd seen small bibles/scriptures, but not a thumb bible, so it was pretty neat. They have the most common bible stories, usually summarized, but there are a few that have most of the scriptures printed in such small print that you need a magnifying glass. His just has the main stories. She asked us which bible story we thought he probably read or referred to the most, then she let us hold it and asked us to hold it out flat on our hands and see where in the book it opened up to and guess which bible story it opened to?!?! Joseph in Egypt!! (from being opened up in that spot so frequently) Your pondering over his experience writing 2Ne3 really feels possible and realistic knowing this about him and his little pocket bible that he carried around to read. Really neat, in my opinion. If you're in that area, go check out Moon's Rare Books, lots of cool things, including church history.

The ‘happy’ segment in 2 Nephi 5 reminded me of an experiment my missionary brother challenged me to try- ‘get rid of the music, clothes, friends, language, etc.’ that was bringing me ‘easy happy’ but low. Letting go of the influences was tough. It was the worst & loneliest two weeks of my college experience, and then- I met my future husband. We’ve been married for almost 20 years now & if I’d not been working towards that ‘happier’ lifted life, I don’t think I would have been a consideration for the good, happy man who’s become my lift. I would not have considered him. It’s true- happier living leads to a powerfully happier (not easier) life. I’m grateful for the direction of your comments. Thanks for all you guys & your crew does.

For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become *like unto a flint* ; wherefore, as they were *white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome* , that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a *skin of blackness to come upon them* . Good insights and thoughts on the Joseph’s 👍 There was no plan B for the restoration. Joseph Smith accepted the call before he was born, when he was living the ‘plan’ on earth, there was only one way it was to go, he had to do it, no choice 🤔. Would you say he was pre-destined to his calling 🤔? I suppose he could choose what cereal he could have for breakfast, but even when he made a decision about the 16 pages that were lost after he loaned them out, God had already put a plan in place to compensate for his ‘free agency’ choice 🤔. Is it only prophets that have their life planned out for them, .. or perhaps even by themselves in the pre-existence ? There are perhaps no ‘wrong’ choices, but just choices, ( pre planned with pre planned outcomes ?)

Ahh, so it aligns with another product that you sell, but not these KZbin discussions. Might I suggest that it would make more sense to align these daily reading divisions with the KZbin videos first, since they are probably used by more people than the calendar? And, My criticism of this has NOTHING to do with the way I read the Book of Mormon. That would be silly! I just think it’s confusing for people who are trying to make these videos useful in their study.

I keep asking- am I just old and don’t get the styles of youth? Lol. If I wore that people would think I got dressed in the dark.

As soon as I saw it I knew there would be comments about this. I’m not up on what’s fashionable but I guarantee this was not an accident. I see it as a way for youth today to “rebel” against what we older adults would consider weird or wrong to dress that way. And if that’s the case, I say, that’s a pretty harmless way to rebel; so let’s not criticize or make it into something more than it is ;)

* [2 Nephi 5:21] And he had caused the *cursing to come upon them* , yea, even a sore cursing, *because of their iniquity* . For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become *like unto a flint* ; wherefore, as they were *white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome* , that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a *skin of blackness to come upon them* . God never cursed people with dark skin because of their sin…. This is wrong
