This year can be Such a boost to a difficult year. I know because 4 yrs ago, it changed me. My year was still hard but HE answered me all through church history and the answer to their questions- the Doctrine and Covenants. ❤❤❤

One tip for those who are wanting a journal: I use the manual put out by the church. I go through the manual & write down my answers to all the questions in the manual in the margins & it really has helped me dive in deeper!!! Also when I watch these videos I’ll write down the things that touched me in the manual. The manual was free & given out by my ward or there is a spiral journal version at Deseret Book for like $15.

Hearken ( isnt’t Hark) haha. Still cute. Ken is a word still used in Scotland today. “ of things beyond your Ken) - Sound of Music ( Ralph in the Gazebo). It means understand or understanding. The word Hearken means Hear and understand. Loved David’s comments about 30 minutes in of the Lird wanting us to Underdtsnd and Joseph coming to that in Kiberty Jsil. ( ironically a place you would want the Holy Ghost to guide you to avoid altogether right? ) but there is where. Understanding. The Ken. Part of hearing took place.

Me too! It seems they've made the large journal (and the weekly email pages) into small tip-ins. Sadly, all the visual stuff seems to be in the paid/subscription app. I personally am very hesitant to download as the Android version of the app has a 3.3 rating in the Play Store and lots of reports of glitches. I wish they would just allow access to the app content on their website, but I don't see that as an option. It seems I'll be searching out other visual learning avenues this year. I still enjoy the thoughts that Dave and Grace share each week. I'm just personally disappointed in some of the changes they made this year, especially everything requiring some kind of purchase to be made.

I have 聴く as well. Similar, but it's missing the kanji for king and the line above 心. I love linguistics, so I'd love to know where they found the other kanji!

I believe they’re meant for your scriptures! However you can use them however you want.

The video cuts are VERY distracting. A few cuts is understandable, but every few seconds or minute is too much for the eye. Some of the cuts are a half second long and unnecessary. Please consider other ways to crop your video. Your content and effort into this study video is exceptional.

This makes me sad. I learned how to access KZbin so I wouldn't feel so alone. I was disappointed that there wasn't a journal this year. Then, to learn, there is one but only for people with access.

Also they're probably editing out extra stuff for length, not for mistakes... if the videos get too long people can't watch them.
