3:21:03 Yes you can mate with this drawback. You can force the King to the edge and reach a position that would otherwise be stalemate without moving the Queen adjacent. The opponent then must move next to your King or a Queen controlled square.

Would love to watch you do commentary. You're top-notch when it comes to explaining the complexities of chess that an average player like myself misses in top-level chess. Moreover, you simply have a great voice. Do it Eric!

3:09:03 I'm not so sure they were sniping, sacing on f7 makes a lot of sense with that drawback.
@DavidCook-pm4yf

I posted the same. Makes a ton of sense to sack a Knight for a pawn early because they can't allow an opening exchange of pawns to cost the game. Also I like to think if they were sniping they would have taken the d pawn. I hate that he thinks he has to worry about snipers, for me I can't imagine why someone would even play drawback chess if they were looking to cheat. I tried watching an episode where Eric hid the drawback until after the game and couldn't do it, it's really hard to watch when you don't know the drawback and takes most if not all the fun out of it.

I once defeated rosen by pushing my E pawn. Then i saw his timer going down. A minute passed, then five... I decided to check out Erics stream and was surprised to see his heart rate at 200! Knowing that i could never beat an IM in a fair match i let eric flag and gained 30 rating points! He was my highest rated win on lichess

3:08:59 I don't think your opponent was sniping. As you said yourself sometimes people play that move anyway as a gambit and his drawback was a loss if he ever had less pawns, his strategy was to sack the knight for pawn and avoid going down a pawn during opening exchanges. I feel like if they were sniping they would have taken the d pawn.

At 35:34, the engine finds an absolute banger of a counter attack (black is completely winning) with 27...♜d4 28.♕xg7? ♜xf2!! 29.♔xf2? ♛d2+ {with forced mate in 6 after} 30.♗e2 ♜f4+ 31.♖f3 ♜xf3+ 32.♔g2 ♜f2+!! 33.♔xf2 ♛f4+ 34.♗f3 ♛xf3+ 35.♔g1 ♛g2# . These imagined moves are not the most resilient defense from the White side, but definitely the most human.

3:08:00 That is way harder than the drawback you had in one of the earlier games where you had to clear the first rank by move 25. This is the same just that you have to do it by move 10 and then again by move 20 and so on. Like how is this supposed to work you've got 10 moves for 8 pieces and you need time to clear some pawns. I think this probably a bit overkill

Is it possible for you to do some more collaborations with e.g. IM Alex, Dana, Botez, Coffee Chess, the young ladies from CFN Channel. With your great personality and great chess it is just a SIN not to do collaborations.

Hey Eric, I was the MathNoob player at the end! I was really wondering when you would upload this. I wanted to see the game from your perspective. It also happens to be my birthday today, so it was pretty good timing! :D And I almost had you that game! I definitely should have won that game after you blundered the knight! Too bad my endgame knowledge is pretty lacking...
