I love the Texas cottage and as weird as it sounds I just can't see MaCenna in a huge home with slick finishes and a mansion like atmosphere. They just don't seem warm and homey and lack character and a family feel. Just my opinion though......

I liked the first house the most. It was the only one that felt homely to me. The last one was just a show home. Can't imagine anyone actually living in it, but was just too big and the garden was like a Disney theme park. When houses are that big they just become showy museums in my opinion. My favourite is MaCenna's comfort cottage.

I would never want to live in those huge houses. It doesn't feel like a home but some luxurious boarding house. Unless you have ten kids or a sports team living with you it is just so wasteful and random. Like, can’t stand this very expensive stone they put all over the place, but there’s no way I can replace it all. This was fun! But honestly, those houses (especially the last one) don't look like they are meant to actually live in. I can't imagine sitting in a bath in the middle of a huge hall. I can almost hear the echo of each water drop as I imagine. It's lacks coziness and homeliness. The spaces are too big for normal furniture. It feels like it's just for showing off one's wealth with luxuries that are beyond what any reasonable person should want for themselves, in my humble opinion. Fun for a couple nights, sure, but to live in? No thanks!

Just entertainment for sure, I love looking at them sometimes. But I have many friends who live big like that and are purely miserable, never finding happiness because they keep looking for it in things. It's so sad. Every morning I sit on my front porch and watch the sun rise over my small home on top of a mountain, tend to my garden, and thank God for all his blessings on me. As you get older, you appreciate things more that actually matter. Like knowing where you will go when you die, having a close relationship with God, and family. I couldn't be more content and at peace, am happier than I've ever been in my life. And that is worth more than gold. Can't wait to see more renovations! Or thrift store shopping! :)

Just a thought. Why not have Romeo drive while you're filming? Here in Maine it is illegal to talk on a cell phone while driving. I'm sure filming while driving fits into that category. Distracted driving is illegal in CA. Just saying.

I think she only drove for the first portion of the video (Saturday) and then Romeo took over the driving for most of the tours (Sunday).

It is kind of rude going through someone's home saying all the things you would change and posting it. It's one thing to say it but then to post it, how would you feel if someone did that to your home that you labored on?

Umm, no, not really? If you’re potentially going to buy the house , of course you’re going to think about these things. You, me , EVERYBODY would do that , she’s just putting her thoughts online for her subscribers to see.

Kitchen comments: The house that had a garden or bay window by the stove: all I could think was how greasy and messy it would get when cooking. Ditto for the house with the burners on top the countertop! If those were marble counters, they would get stained pronto!

Wow, those houses were insane and I'm sure the prices are over the roof, because I have relatives that live in California and they have told me that the price of houses are insane and outrageous. It also depends on where you buy one, some areas are less expensive than others. Thanks for this video and have a good week, sending love and hugs, bye for now. 😊💜

None of those compare to the Comfort cottage. Those homes are not MaCenna and Romeo. They are for stuffed shirts, pretentious people. Our peeps are totally down home and Texans. Thanks for the vlog. Come home quickly. ❤️🤍💙

If you do more of these videos, it’d be great to know the listing price of each house…. And maybe scale back the number of “awfuls” you throw out for perfectly functional materials, which a lot of your viewers might have in their homes because we aren’t full time KZbin interior design influencers 😂 It can be not your preference without being awful.

I don't know. If she feels like it's awful, she should be able to say it. For the things she said were awful, I thought they were okay and would move in in a heartbeat. But I don't feel like she should take into consideration every little offense, you can't and shouldn't have to cater to every other person

There’s a lot of houses for sale in CA because everyone is getting the heck out of dodge and moving to the Midwest where things aren’t so crazy… or expensive. I live in Kansas and it’s crazy how many west coast people are moving here and jacking up our house prices 🙃
