I totally understand what you were saying at the end! I went on holiday to Turkey with my family a couple of weeks ago, and on the morning of our flight day home we spent the morning at the pool. When I finally got home and crashed in bed at about midnight that night, I couldn't believe that earlier on in the day we were swimming in the pool of our hotel, it's such a weird feeling.
