Overall it going to take the team to win not just Rodger. Also, my comments was in reference to Chuck Clark which is a great upgrade for the Jets secondary. If you haven't heard of him just KZbin his highlights and how he is around the ball and in position to make s good tackle. Which is not bad for giving up a 7 rounder. Peace and Blessings

How many different offenses did the jets run in smith's 7 seasons? 3, 4 remember some offenses take multiple Season's to learn even as the starting QB. Aaron has said it took 4 to 5 Season's to completely get McCarthy system. That's 3 as backup and 2 as starting QB. The 6th Season GB won The superbowl.

I don't think this is going to happen. The plane returned to Florham Park without him. If it's being held up because Green Bay wants the sun moon and stars, then this can fall through if GB walks away from negotiations. This isn't the time for Douglas to be shrewd. He can't have it both ways. He can't have Aaron Rodgers and compensate GB with peanuts.

Woody is a terrible owner. He hired Gase when no fan wanted him. Gase won 2 meaningless games in 2020 which cost the team TL. We end up with a draft bust at QB which will ultimately end with JD and RS losing their jobs regardless of how 39 year old Rodgers does for a year. The real issue with this team is the owner and I'd love for him to sell the team.

When all is said and done, Woody still writes the checks. His recent track record doesn't bode well but I admire him for willing to try for Rodgers. Leon Hess waited till he had "one foot in the grave" before bringing in Bill Parcels. We haven't been to a Superbowl in over 50 years so to me, conventional thinking is out the window.

Boomer keeps invoking "keeping Zach Wilson on the team" as a legitimate factor in getting the next starting QB. It is not, and a quick look at the contracts would make this obvious. The reason the Jets are holding Zach is that they gain nothing by parting ways right now. The idea that bringing Aaron Rodgers here is "good because you can develop Zach and he can take over in two years" is ridiculous. In two years you will have to pay Zach his 5th year option, around 20 million? Who is paying Zach Wilson 20 million in two years based on his NFL career thus far? The only way this makes sense is if the new starter gets hurt and Zach comes in and lights it up, but that's certainly not a wise thing to bet on either, and you certainly wouldn't plan for it. The Zach experiment ran its course, was historically bad, and even those who still believe in him would be hard pressed to justify giving him a robust QB salary like the 5th year option would be.

Lamars already breaking down from the high running usage and hes not great passing to make up for it. Missed 5 games in 22 and 5 games in 21. You might get more games from rodgers in 2 years then 5 years of lamar. Ravens knew they had a window of only a few years with lamar then theyll get some picks for him, imo. Ravens are usually the smart team, i wouldnt wanna be on the opposite side of them.

You can’t win without a QB, the fact we were 7-4 at one point without one speaks enough. Look at the 49ers v the Eagles when they had no QB, arguably the best team got blown out because of it. Adding a first ballot HOF QB in Rodgers who definitely has a good couple years left would help immensely…
