Mr Jan Kincaid is an ACE groove doctor. This person does easily compete with the great drummers of the last century, like the great Jeff Porcaro, or Steve Gadd, or if you would like to compare to "simpler" groove doctors like Charlie Watts or Ringo Starr. You might distinguish a Rolling Stones or a Beatles record, just by hearing a few bars of drums by these excellent craftsmen... Or maybe James Gadson, who was in Bill Withers rhythm section. All these drummers lay down the bed for the music we all enjoy still.... The BNH might have excellent composers and musicians, like the sweet and innovative Andrew Levy and modest Simon Bartholomew but now they stand merely in the shadow of what used to be hot and swinging funk band... Jan: it may come clear that I am a HUGE fan of your work and in mere agony over the underestimated contribution that a drummer makes to a musical composition. So please keep in mind that if not expressed so explicitly as I do here: Without words: We love to dance to your music. Jan, you deserve a personal HALL OF FAME. In no single way a MF Robot could replace your exquisite style. Go On!
