I like how you are constantly comparing the costs of items. I do that all the time. Not sure if you noticed, but on the price tags at most stores, if you look closely, they all have a per ounce or per unit price. So, they do the math for you. I use those tags all the time cause my brain gets confused with breaking them all down with different sizes. Take a close look at the price tags for the breakdown. MAKES LIFE SOOOOO MUCH EASIER.

Be careful with those though. Sometimes the unit they are comparing is not the same, for instance per ounce versus per pound. When I worked at Wal-Mart years ago, we were told how to do that when printing modular labels to encourage shoppers to buy the more expensive product. I've found basically every store does that in some manner.

The Sam’s rotisserie chickens are a bargain. They can be a meal, chicken pot pie, chicken salad, and the bones make a delicious chicken stock. Sam’s has kept the price low as well. I can’t believe the price of eggs! Great haul with the kids!

I have been purchasing the frozen juice concentrate now since inflation has hit. In California the frozen pineapple juice at Walmart is $2.50. It makes 48 oz of juice

I’m really interested in comparing prices with Aldi in the UK. Our eggs have gone up in price but nowhere near as much as yours! There’s a bit of an egg shortage here because of bird flu, but we buy ours in boxes of six. Half a dozen is the norm here! I love seeing all of the different food in your supermarkets. The price of eggs has increased due to several issues. In the spring there was an issue with bird flu that wiped out a bunch of commercial flocks of laying hens. There have also been fires at other major commercial poultry facilities that wiped out laying hens. Along with the cost of fuel, other shipping costs, and a doubling of chicken feed now egg prices are sky rocketing. I have chickens and half are not laying due to age and decreased sunlight but fortunately I’m getting about a half dozen a day. I only have a few egg customers but I still only sell for $3 a dozen but I may have to increase my price soon.

We have had that tiramisu from Sams for Christmas Eve dessert for the past two years. It's delicious. I always get 2 rotisserie chickens each sams trip for food prep. I pick them apart and freeze one, the rest I mix up for various meals for us that week.

The Red Lobster biscuit mix is terrific! You may be able to find a copy-cat recipe for them online. Definitely worth checking into. You are right to hold out for wooden clothes pins. The plastic ones break easily.

A friend who works at Red Lobster says the directions are wrong. She says Red Lobster wants you to come to the Restaurant so they modified the directions so that the restaurants biscuits are so much better. She says to triple the small amount of cheese called for to get biscuits that tastes more like what they serve. I tried that and she is right. SO MUCH LIKE WHAT THE RESTAURANTS SERVE.

Check the price per lb of the wrapped cheese slices vs deli American cheese. It’s usually cheaper and the ingredients are better 😊

I know you are fond of making sausage balls with the bisquik mix, but have you tried them with the Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuit mix (you were by it when you got the cocoa powder in sam's club). The cheddar biscuit mix brings sausage balls to a whole other level.

Watching the shopping spree if I can call it that lol I can see prices have gone up on some of the items i noticed you normally purchase. I'm sure you can feel the change just as I do..So I figured when I do my large shopping trip I'm spending about 25 dollars more then normal, give or take. That's when I go to payless..I can male it up when I go to Aldies for the most part. Guess we need to except and move on, it is what it is. Hope your having a nice relaxing evening. Good morning. I think you did very well especially with the kids with you. You know they want to go shopping with you so they can choose some snacks that they like along the way. Especially discount shopping. I don't know if you know but Sam's will take your items back if you're dissatisfied. And I did take lettuce back one day. But I don't know whether you had to bring the item in and they exchanged it or or took it off my account but it might be worth looking into. I have noticed that the lettuce hasn't been that great. I only buy it for my guinea pigs right now. Especially the romaine lettuce I buy the salad kits right now for other salad stuff. I found coconut at Aldi when I was looking for it just FYI . Yea it was the bird flu that came on the heels of hurricane Ian. We know small hobby farmers down in Florida and the state came in and euthanized all of their birds. Hundreds of chickens. It’ll take some time to get there but prices will drop in a few more months

My mom makes that amazing pineapple punch with sherbet in it, and I can't drink it! 😭😭 I developed a pineapple allergy when I was 25 and I've not been able to tolerate it to any degree since! 😭 If I'm in the room with someone even cutting up a pineapple, my throat and ears start itching and it spreads to my entire body 😩😩

I don't use self checkout - it takes jobs away from people needing one & it gives the owner more money for himself while he still raises the product prices... the 5 cents they charge for each plastic grocery bag you need to pack groceries in, though the owner pays for those bags - he gets them very much cheaper because of the quantities he buys & he gets to write it all off as a business expense so the consumer isn't saving anything by using self checkout... Merry Christmas everyone! Something to watch out for with things like meat sticks is whether it has any salt Peter in it - eating too much makes males not interested in having sex. ☺ The ready made croissants delicious with scrambled eggs & cheese slice on top of cooked eggs & you can put bacon or such on top of cheese.
