SO Hilarious to me that I was like “she stomps because she wants pettins!” But you guys let me know that means she wants to get it on. This is what google says “Squatting is a sign of submission - so she is shifting into the mating position for a rooster. If you don't have a rooster in your flock, she will often see YOU as the rooster. The squat also signals that she will soon begin to lay eggs.” Lmfao Sorry ladies, I shall not be mating with you BUT I will give you scratchins lol

Oooo! If you live near a Natural History museum, you can contact them and see if you can bring in the rocks and learn about them. We had those rocks in our flower beds in Southern California. When one cracked, my brother found fossils. He cracked a few more and took them to the museum. We learned so much about the valley we grew up in from that visit. It was pretty cool. (Prehistoric basin, had been all ocean, types of animals that would have been in the area. One of our rocks we always thought looked like a jaw. It was!

I’m not sure you would be interested but I live in the top part of the Texas - called the Panhandle - and my parents just moved into a house that has Trumpit Vines - it doesn’t stay green all year but definitely comes up and is ‘invasive’ if you are looking for something that will get big leafy and green with cool orangish redish flowers! We don’t typically get as much moisture as yall do in Washington, but have had an unusually wet year and the vine seems to be doing great with all the added water! Love y’all’s channel, and wishing you all the best at getting your dream yard!❤

My granny had honeysuckle on her property my whole childhood, which is where I grew up. And I loved eating it. She never pruned it or anything and it didn't get evasive or take over at all. It did grow up the side of the garage she had them planted by, but that's only where they grew. And the chickens and pigs didn't mess with them too much. Only ate the bugs that the honeysuckle attracted. I miss those days.

I love the set up of this chicken run, I’m really looking forward to future footage when we can see everything growing in! You know what would also look awesome around your coop? Multi stemmed smaller trees! Amelanchier - shadbush is a great one. Birch trees if you have the space for them and of course lilacs and magnolia’s. I don’t know if the amelanchier is considered invasive. But it has stunning leave coloration in fall and you can eat the berries!
