You're the only other people besides myself that physically/manually cut a mess down and cleared out an area just to detect it. It was worth my while too, I hope it is worth the time for you guys as well. There's other places I've been considering clearing out to hunt because of what I was digging right up to it. And other places I hunted 5hat grew in but * use better detectors now and know the best stuff is still there. Good for you guys I hope you nail it good

Holy mackerel I'm glad I'm in an area that pays much better for metal than where you guys are. I would also be questioning the grading of that material as "dirty", dirty refers to foreign metal contamination not cosmetic condition. It might be worthwhile for you all to price/grade shop neighboring areas before selling next time. I literally got nearly $1/pound more for both my dug metal detecting junk copper and brass in mid-June; all considered clean.

And I noticed that the White Bucket was all Red Brass and the other Bucket was Yellow Brass and 2 totally different prices and I have only have gotten to 4:06 and I Had to stop watching and check out the comments and see if anyone else sees it and that's money that is and will be going to the Salvage Yard and nothing to the people that brought it in for Sale and thinking that they got a Great Deal but actually it's Not and as soon as you leave the yard will be Separating the Brass and Get The Top Dollar 💵💰🤑 once it's Sold Again To The Smelter and also ALOT of the Salvage Yards will tell you that it's all the same, But it's definitely Not and ALOT of LOST MONEY 💲💲💲 THAT IS GOING TO THE SALVAGE YARD......

If you go down and try to sell them without sorting the material he'll give you the price for mixed metal more than likely and it's only like 40 cents a pound vs 1.40 lb. big difference :) Mike my predator shovel looks the same way lol. I bought a back up lesche with the small head for doing peoples yards so they aren't afraid of that huge predator shovel :).

You got screwed on the brass and copper Clean means no foreign metals it has nothing to do with dirt or a little mud on the metal We buy copper and brass your mixed brass yes it was mixed brass which is red brass, semi red brass , lite brass, and yellow brass should be around 2.25 a pound and the copper mixed copper, is number 2, number one, and a little sheet and or burnt copper which is around 3 dollars a pound and the prices are a bit low now but they always go up. The flatware is nickle which should be 3.00 a pound unless it still has the silverplate on it then it is 6.50 a pound.
@carolrice2063
@carolrice2063 Жыл бұрын
Yes I noticed that too that they don't have a Clue of the difference between the Brass and the price that they could of been paid and the Salvage Yard will not tell you anything about the difference and then they will separate it themselves and get the Top Dollar for it when they sell it themselves to another Salvage or Smelter At the end of the line and the 4:05 white bucket 🪣 looks like ALL Red Brass and the First Bucket 🪣 looks like ALL Yellow Brass but to a salvage yard and the person that doesn't know the Difference between the two and that's money 💲 that Will Be Going to the Salvage Yard and nothing to the person that is bringing it in to the Salvage Yard and Alot of the salvage yards will tell you that it's all the same in prices and they don't separate it but as soon as you leave the yard all hands on deck and Separate it and get the Money that you not knowing what the difference is and you lost out.......
