I think I will go here instead of Lake Como, when I visit Milan! If you could only pick one place to visit, would you pick Lugano or Lake Como area? I don't have time to see both.

If you have limited time, I would suggest to visit Lugano (better view than Como, especially from the mountain). However lake Como is also very nice and has better restaurants + nice cathedral and few more places.
