It's been a long week, battling sinuses, work drama, and being bombarded by the worst the world has to offer via the news. Scrolling thru my feed this popped up, and I thought this is good for me, a song to God. From the first notes Nathan sang tears welled up. Such a beautiful gift so wonderfully shared! Thank you! I was seeking beauty and here it is, in this song, your arrangement, your passion, and your gifted voice! I'd like to hear more. It reminds me of the songs of my younger days, when we all wore suitcoats and ties 😊, we read from hymn books, the organist played, and the songbook numbers were listed weekly on a wooden plaque on the wall. There was no video screen with lyrics, and the congregation really sang the words with gusto. I'm not saying modern ways are bad. I just have fond memories of olden days.

The Higher album came at the perfect time for me in my life back in 2017. Listening to it daily helped bring me closer to God, gave me peace, and the strength I needed to meet life's challenges. I would love a higher 2.0 album. In fact, the original version is my favorite rendition of come thou fount, and I like this remake even more. During the solo, I personally imagine the savior's life chronologically, culminating with his preaching to those in the spirit world, then his resurrection and finally, his visit to the americas. This is such a beautiful solo. I'd love to have another album with the updated orchestral pieces.
