We are BACK at the goodwill outlet!! ‪@CarrieDayton‬ and I are seeing what we can find in the bins and hoping for the best! The bins are basically piles and piles of clothes in literal bins and they charge per pound! This trip definitely started a little rough, but we still ended up finding some good stuff!

Okay I know thrifting to resell is not your thing at all BUT when you were showing all the Christmas sweaters I was thinking that saving Christmas sweaters from the bins that are landfill-bound and selling them to your viewers would be so cute and authentic to you! Could do it during Thriftmas and donate the proceeds to a charity or something!

Such a good idea! I hate the idea of of clothes in landfills. Some clothes go to third world countries where it overwhelms the local economy and local clothes production. Their landfills end up catching on fire because of the methane or clothes wash up on beaches from falling overboard

That’s California weather for you. Happens for I’d say for about 9-10 months of the year (excluding hot summer). It’s hard to explain but it makes sense if you live here.

Crotch is a real word, perfectly acceptable, especially when just talking about clothes. What else would you call it? It just means the area where the legs come together, like where tree branches grow out from a tree, also called a crotch.

FYI to anyone going to the Escondido CA Goodwill outlet... they do NOT sell by the pound. It's per piece. It's still a good price, but it was a shock when I got up to the register.

I think you could theoretically seam rip the seams on the plaid skirt that hold down the pleats. That way, it would slide a bit lower on you (because then the waist would become what is holding it on), become longer, and the waist wouldn’t be too big anymore. The only thing is that it wouldn’t be as high waisted, but it looked like it was very high, so maybe it’s ok if it sits a bit lower? Just a thought :)

I love your channel! That animal print cardigan looks amazing on you! 😍 I am obsessed with animal prints as well, I have always been, even when they were considered "out of style". I love leopard, zebra, snake , all of them hahah. I consider them neutrals in a way ☺. For the fit of the pants, don't you sew and do thrify upcycles ? It's super easy to taylor those to fit better as the seats are exposed inside. Put them on inside out and pin the seam ticker so it's tightee then just sew it where they need a little cynching. You can do the same with the waist band of you need but it looks like if you tailor the hip/crotch area better you may be able to leave the elastic as is.

If you read the rules it specifically says one cart per person. Just say something to management. At our bins it says it. I had that same issue. I called corporate and they made that change and had it posted. Management should do their jobs.

15:05 that is the exact skirt I was forced to wear to my private school from K-12. I'm sorry that you bought it and it didn't fit well. But the anger I have for that skirt bc I was forced to wear it everyday of school for 13 yrs of my life, I cannot say I would really want to see it styled. I know you love plaid skirts, and I'm not a big fan of them, but I understand that everyone has a different style and I can respect that.
