I only Go to the 50% off days at goodwill for holidays. Sometimes they overprice some items and just doesn’t fit my budget. Whenever I go on a non sale day I want everything and just overspend so I told myself I’d only go on half off days haha

Wow, the Goodwill prices there are a lot higher there than they are where I live! (Yes, I realize they’re still very low.) I live in South Carolina and those tops that were $15 would’ve been like $3-$5 at my local Goodwill.

I’ve always spoken so highly of Goodwill and how they hire individuals with disabilities, but I recently learned that those employees are being paid way less than minimum wage. Can anyone confirm if this is true? I also think Goodwill is the only second hand donation store that is for profit, where as Salvation Army, for example, is a non-profit

Corinne Flynn I have heard those same things. The owner of goodwill gets paid so much because he is profiting off of items that are donated to the stores. I just think it’s sad so I don’t shop there anymore🤷‍♀️ I support local thrift stores near me

yeah goodwill has some very bad worker issues. unfortunately even being non-profit salvation army isn't much better in terms of the beliefs behind the organisation.
