Today we are thirfting at a NEW thrift store before ANYONE ELSE!! Savers invited me and a bunch of other thrifters to their new Laguna Hills location and truly this was my HEAVEN! They had all their sweaters and fall jackets and it was just a dream!!

To try on pants, etc, at a thrift store, just find a flowy longer skirt and you can try things on under it. I do it all the time.

You talking about wanting bathroom themed art in your bathroom reminded me of my grandmother. She had a vintage print of a bunch of different wooden outhouses in her basement bathroom, as well as a miniature outhouse tchotchke on the vanity. So cute! 🫶🏻

27:46 I see a little paw/tail 😆 That sweater actually looks vintage, the sewn shoulder pads remind me of late 80s sweaters (they were probably replaced because the older ones probably crumbled), and the design looks like a vintage minnie mouse, probably a 1980 one!

The cream and black sweaters looked great on you. When we moved from OC to the Central Coast I told my husband that I wanted one wall in our bathroom to have a weird or special to me framed art. My other 3 walls all have butterfly art items. Framed, plates, etc. I wish there was a way to send pics to you to share what I did.

What I do when I want to wear a real/ cute outfit but still be able to try on clothes is I wear a long skirt that I can just try on under, or a bodysuit under (the one I have goes into fitted shorts) so that I can have style and function/ stay practical for thrifting while still being happy with what I wore :)

That’s why I mentioned Dutch and Danish because the definition of Delft Blue is “a type of pottery that originated in the Netherlands and is known for its distinctive blue and white coloring” and Delft is a city in the Netherlands.

I guess I am confused by the concept of the event. It’s a new thrift store and thrift KZbinrs can go first to buy the stuff? Seems so counter intuitive to the original purpose of thrifting

I assume it's just to spread the word about this new location being there (free press for them), there was A LOT and a lot more they were putting out for the actual grand opening. This was just to highlight what you can find there and I know for myself I left a lot of things on purpose for others to thrift themselves and I know the other thrifters did as well. ❤ Savers is also a for profit secondhand store (they do donate to different charities just not a non-profit) so they want as many people to shop at their stores so this is a way to get the word out.

My dad never taught us 😭 but I've dabbled in duolingo to learn some dutch with my sisters although I've fallen off doing a lesson a day so I need to get back to it because my sister and I really want to visit the Netherlands next year!
