Baking soda and dawn soap, make a paste and scrub it with a sponge (use the scrubby side ) works really well on rust.😊 Also, just baking soda sprinkled on the sponge and scrub the item works well too.

Soak the basket in a vinegar / water solution to remove rust. That's what I do to clean up my husband's hand tools that he accidentally leaves outside causing rust.

I’m glad to see you my friend you look beautiful as ever. I really like antique stores they are my favorite and I have a lot of antiques in my home!!! I have mainly furniture pieces! I have a China cabinet that’s over 100yrs old and still in pretty good shape to be that old!!! It’s one of those pieces that’s passed down threw generations... Have a floor model stereo that has the turn table and radio and it still works, the only thing is if the fuse ever blows I don’t know if we can find the fuse to put back in it... I have some very old oval shape frames with my husband great grandfather in it... Anyway glad you are back and doing well!

If you want to widen the mirror frame, you can also add wood around it. That wouldn’t be difficult because the basic frame around the mirror is straight, and since you plan to redo the mirror anyway you would easily be able to match it.

Hanging from the ceiling in one booth, I saw an actual woven ‘egg basket’. They are a special design that distributes the weight evenly when the eggs are on top of one another 😉

The Egg Basket Is Gorgeous, You Can Probably Use A Wire Brush To Get Most Of The RUST OFF, I Would Spray It With A Sealer And Then Spray Paint It Black. Again Congratulations On The Beautiful Baby Girl ! I Hope To See More Of All Your Family In The Future!

Yami... The bunny in the frame & the bird & nest in the frame were both IOD transfers from the most recent release. I framed a couple of the transfers myself from that release 😊❣️

Hi Amy you did amazing job on your hall especially at the antique store I love to all bow mirrors and what you suggested putting the rub and buff on it would really bring out the antique on them and make them look a lot nicer I also love the pictures the navy blue one and the white with the gold with the Christmas pictures those look very nice and on the mirror for the bathroom I know that you can make it look high end just like all the other DIYs that you've done in the past I love watching even seeing what you can bring out to us on DIYs thank you for sharing your ideas and I wish you and your family a Happy New Year God bless 🥰

Happy New Year, I was excited to see your beautiful eyes and smile. One of my favorite things to do is thrifting and antiquing. Those little black-framed bunny and bird pictures would have gone home with me. The Longaberger handled baskets would have made a great egg collecting basket. I saw there a lot of Home Interior/Willow House items in one of the booths. Have you tried painting a matting that doesn't fit your decor? I've done this several times....because like you I liked a print but not the color of the matting. Thank you for sharing your day and your haul.

I would leave the antique egg basket (not paint it) just clean it up, then you don’t damage the antique.

Rustoleum has an EXCELLENT rust remover that you spray on! It’s a gel and stays where you spray it. Works in about 20 minutes or so. Rinse it with hot soapy water and then vinegar. Prime and paint! Hope this helps!

Nice to see you Yami - The mirrors look great as is but whatever you decide to do with them will be beautiful - the egg basket you can use a brillo pad to remove the rust or soak in Vinegar hot water bath - you could also build a larger wood frame for around your mirror so it better fits your space - loved everything in your haul! ❤

I loved the thrift store haul. I would leave the basket unpainted since its an antique. If the rust bothers you, just clean it with vinegar. It will rust again Don’t worry about that. Its perfect to collect farm eggs with. Great find!

Leave the egg basket as it but spray a couple layers of clear finish in matte. That mirror is going to be beautiful. Oh I would be overwhelmed too, in that store. I was in a similar place recently and it was to crowded in to small of rooms( very old house). I can’t wait to see your future videos. Happy New Year.🎊 😊❤

Really nice video with lots of variety - thank you. I would leave the egg basket "as is" once it's cleaned. The frames would look nice with some rub n buff, but you have a good eye for decorating so do what you think is best.
