You need to remember that your pump runs on electricity and if the power goes out no water!
@TheLatinaNextDoor2 сағат бұрын
Yep! We understand that. Which is why my husband has a plan with a backup generator already set in case that does happen.

We have well water and a filtration system, too. We have iron in our water, so our system filters that out also….. We live close to a colonial iron furnace..we have lots red dirt and rocks, but great tasting water from a relatively shallow well 👍🏻👍🏻

A filtration system is a must and totally worth it.

I love my tankless hot water heater. I never run out of hot water. My husband did all that when we were building our house. We are on a concrete slab too. I lost my husband will be 5 years ago in April of this year. I am by myself now. Daughter is married and lives in Mississippi. I live in TN. I only live about 30 miles from her.

You guys are absolutely amazing Yami. I love how you worked everything out with your water running into the house. We have well water also it's because of the way the water tasted that we bought our house. Hope you and your family are staying safe and warm. See you in the next one 🤗💓💕💞

I’m wondering how this holds up without any primer or pre-sanding.. can you update us? I have the same thing in black. I’m a widow 81 years old, but I would really like to paint it that exact same blue. All the other videos talk about sanding and primer and that’s just way too much work for me. It’s more of a decorative piece so in my mind, it would hold up with your process. Thoughts?
@TheLatinaNextDoor39 минут бұрын
I didn’t have a problem with it while I owned it to be honest. I had it for about 3 years total and it never chipped, but we aren’t rough on our furniture or cabinets either so that can make a difference. If you’re concerned about it not adhering a degreaser spray helps make the surface less glossy and helps paint adhere better in my opinion. I would look into that and see if it’s something you can use.

I live in a city in Scotland, the water is soft and you can drink right from the tap .It's delicious. I've been in other places in the Uk ( England ) in hard water areas and it's awful . I didnt drink from the tap and bought bottled water . So i understand about how refreshing superior water taste.

Im sorry to hear that! Just know that with well water there is also the expense of your own water filtration system. We will eventually go over all of that once it’s installed.
@lechatbotte.8 сағат бұрын
That’s a bad situation. Unless you have power to the well, off grid no electricity no well water. I lived that way for fifteen years. When our electricity when off recently we had water because our water is a co-op well that runs on a diesel powered pump.

We had copper plumbing and we were gone during an unexpected very early freeze and our plumbing frozen and burst and filled pur home with an insane amount of water. Plumbing was all in attic space so major water damage throughout the home.
@TheLatinaNextDoor8 сағат бұрын
I’m sorry to hear that happened, I’m sure it was an awful experience. That can definitely happen. We have close to zero temps here and for that reason even our garage area where the water system will be housed will be insulated. In addition our copper pipes are only located inside interior walls.
@Ivelisse5296 сағат бұрын
😮Whoa! Aren’t you supposed to shut off your main water valve when you leave the house for an extended period of time? I learned that when I lived in FL now we’re in NC so we do that now.
@dawnross6448 сағат бұрын
My Grandfather’s house used well water for as long as I could remember. He died when I was 13, in 1969. Fast forward, my brothers had the land. The county/city, etc., finally forced ppl to somehow pay for water. But, one of my brothers knew how to bypass that bc of his fights w/ the city. Good Luck. But, put in back pocket, should a fight evolve. That was Indiana. Love your journey. Pets…..need a few cats. They are a joy & keep critters away or can alert you better than a dog.
@TheLatinaNextDoor8 сағат бұрын
Thank you for the information. This is pretty common practice around here especially since we have so much rock on our mountain. Running pipes through some areas can be a little difficult at times. There are several people on our road that have well water as well.
@robinwoods99618 сағат бұрын
We use to have well water it was the best tasting water I've ever drunk. But the well went out because of all the building around us so we just hooked up to utility water.
