Sweater dresses are my favorite. So cosy and warm. With some colorful, fleece lined tights. I would choose something with a pattern possibly. Depending on options of course. A sweater dress and warm tights is like wearing a hug all day.

Great thrift haul. The green glasses are hock glasses, intended for German white wine. The stem is often the only green part and it's always very tall with the round bowl shape. Occasionally you can fond them in an amber brown colour.A very nice example you have there.

You could build a fountain for your garden to block out the road noise. Their are a bunch of videos on KZbin on putting together fountains out of flower pots. They are very easy and inexpensive. Just thought I would mention it.

I feel really bad for you. I lost mine in 2010 and it feels like yesterday. I'd like to say it gets easier with time but you will always miss him. I'm a believer in God and what helps me when I lose someone close to me is to think of them as only being on vacation. For some reason it has been a comfort to me. I feel for you. This scripture has helped me a lot, I hope it brings some comfort to you as well. Hug! Thank you Elise, the thrift shops you visit are very big and lots of selection in comparison to U.K. Often small and disorganised with little choice. I'm stuck inside recuperating from a knee replacement...thank you for "taking me out". There is so much I want to be doing in our yard, but I'll have to rely on my husband this year, and he is definitely NOT a gardener, lol. I did manage, before my surgery, to collect some seeds from the wildflower garden I planted this year. I have projects in mind for next year, and have ordered garden and seed catalogs. It's late in the season to transplant the hydrangeas. Build up a few inches of soil around the plant's base to insulate the roots from damage over the winter.
