Unfortunately being an army town ,other local towns were more appealing to invest in during the 80's and 90's. The Nepalese have brought a feeling of community to the town,change is happening slowly small local businesses are starting up ,the future is hopeful

I do not recommend walking late at night through the park called Municipal Gardens. Its known for drugs and gangs. We get a lot of robbery, voilence and drugs in Aldershot. Much higher than other places. Car theft aswell. Just be careful if you are thinking of visiting or want to move here. I have lived here for years.

Okay I get it and its a personal opinion made 11years ago. However if you're smart you would know MOD sold a lot of land off, there's been massive investments, and I've made good margins on property. Planning permission granted for refurbishment, from housing, town center to train station. Its one of the last towns in the South to invest in, a lot of people coming in as the over spill of Farnham, Guildford and London.

I live in Australia NSW and I was born in Aldershot. I had one of the best childhoods ever. Might not have much of a shopping centre now but it is still a kids adventure playground. Went there last year.
