Enjoyed that. I love the homely look at home and in the garden/allotment. May I suggest you get an amaryllis bulb from Waitrose at the moment, it would look lovely in your home. Just look for them by the checkouts in square boxes. All the best.

Fantastic video as always. Have you been to Shepton Mallet Antiques fair? I'm considering going but it's quite a drive so wondering if that fair also has turkish pots and rustic wooden pieces just like you got? X

In reference to a human, homely means an extremely plain looking person!…chronically dull !! Love those pots btw 😃

Homely usually means plain with regard to a persons appearance. We say “homey” where you mean “homely” when speaking about a house.

In North America words depend on the sentence used. Examples.. " That person is quite homely" ( means not very attractive, plain- ugly) ' Your home is quite homey and relaxing" ( meaning comfortable, a place to feel at home) but we also use the slang for HOMEY.. " Hey homey, how's it going????" ( meaning friend)... We say the dump or ( garbage - landfill site) you call it " the skip" in North American we use the word skip ( to skip - miss something) " I'll skip school or I'll skip that appointment" also " the girls like to skip" ( meaning) a skipping rope which you call a jump rope.. You guy say " I am Jonesy for fish & chips" we say " I am craving or hungry for fish & chips" " Jonesy, for drugs" meaning ( needing a fix) So many different uses of words from England to here. I am Canadian by the way..
