Hey everyone, welcome to this week’s video where I take you along to my nursing home shift. Just to avoid confusion, in this video the agency I mention is not among the ones that help bring nurses to the UK. These are small companies that supply PINNED nurses hospitals and nursing homes.I hope this gives you an idea and thanks for watching ❤️

So a Nhs nurse can also work in a nursing home part time while on contract?
@honeybee05032 жыл бұрын
Wow the nursing home I work at in the US is not like that at all plus we have 30 patients each, and we do all the vitals and push the medication cart around.
@NicyWangui2 жыл бұрын
This home is different - posh even for the UK. In most nursing homes here we have 15 - 25 patients per nurse and we also push the trolley as well. I did enjoy not having to push the heavy medication trolley

How do you find agency to work as an agency nurse? And what is the approx pay per hour in the nursing homes for a pinned nurse.
@NicyWangui4 жыл бұрын
You google for an agency in your area and then apply. Apply depends on the home you are going to and area eg London pay would differ from other areas

Hello nice video. That place looks like a paradise indeed. I want to know something. What do u to solve minor problems like if a resident has headache or abdominal pains? And if they are not on pain medication. Do u call the doctor to come in or?
@NicyWangui4 жыл бұрын
Usually most residents have a paper signed by the doctor for medication like paracetamol called homely remedy so you can give if needed. If not you call the doctor and they prescribe
