I don’t know how to describe my feeling watching this. Because graduate jobs (people with zero experience) in consulting pay at least 30k in regional offices (outside London). Considering the amount of work nurses do,I feel nurses are grossly underpaid!

It’s not about only pay… nhs contribute to your pension, holiday are roughly 7/8 weeks a years… u have unsocial bonuses and more important than anything u have fully sick pay if u have been in for sometimes… up to 6 months fully pay… have u even been sick in care home? Do u know how much they pay? If u r lucky they pay?
@adebimpeademosu31313 ай бұрын
I believe NHS contributes over 20% in pension. Civil service contributes 27% to employees pension, so if an employee contribute 5% to his/her pension, that's 32% in pension monthly. Depending on the employee grades/pay, that could be over £10k in pension annually. Pension is one of the big benefit why some people chose to be a civil servant.

Changing the level of band might be different from one trust to another. My HR rejected as well instead they referred me to my manager. I contacted the manager and he also referred me back to HR so I knew the answer was NO. I wasn't going to be a ball for them. I started the work and worked happily then one day after 6months I was prompted to talk to the manager again and he did the job. Wrote the HR and I was raised to the appropriate level for 17yrs experience in Nursing. I was even paid arrears.

It's nice to see that you are happy being in the NHS, Nanelle. After all said and done, we always come to realize it's not all about the money. Yes, money is important but skills will fetch you more money and farther milestones on the long run. I wanted to be in the care home when I first arrived but thank God I'm in the NHS. It's mental health, and I still feel like you felt in the care home because I'm a general trained nurse and miss the skills in the acute hospital setting😅. But, the good thing is that I can say I have acquired huge skills in mental health nursing. Cheers Nanelle

Roughly i get 3400€ minimum net per month. Renting a 31m2 apartment at 730€ with bills, roughly use up 1100€ on living expenses with rent and food inclusive. Send 400--700€ to ghana every month and save a minimum of 1500€ every month🎉 keep the 300-400 € as spare for the month and when is not used at the end of the month, i add it to savings 🎉 yall need to come to Germany. Better social advantages too. Well the language is a must, but is better than wasting years waiting for Cos and all that. U could just use a year to learn the language.🎉

The difference has always been clear…. Ppl should make their choices based on their circumstances, I’m a professional nurse so should receive better pay . Some factory or warehouses pay up to 13pound per hour, most of their staff are non professionals.. not degree holders or even educated. So the pay is low compared to the job and requirements. I would say if you want to go to nhs make sure you don’t have financial obligations (so much needs) because it will be hard to fund your needs especially if you have large family. Again I understand there are suppleny payments which comes with so many extra shifts.

I do agency at care home as well… what I can say is that hospital nurses can do care home most time but care home nurses especially if never work in hospitals are struggling to adapt to hospital… there are 2 different settings. In care home you tend to lose your skills, reasons why I never work fully in a nursing home.
