i had planned to film this 2 weeks ago, but a high speed roll-over in Southern Colorado and ensuing stitches in my face sorta preempted. Most of the time the real FEELING of the song is lost in very technical playing. What I love about Michael is that even in his most technical songs, the beautiful feeling of the song is not only kept, it oozes out of every note, chord, and harmony. You are a truly wonderful player Michael. I think that every musician should listen to Michael in hopes that they can learn the most important thing that there is to learn: Music is not a collection of notes arranged in a way to create a finished product. It is MUSIC! ;)

Coming from a jazz background, when I first tried to arrange rock tunes for solo guitar, I wanted to reharmonize them. I quickly understood that just didn't work: they stunk. Leave the simple harmony alone--it's all about the groove. I sure wish I could do it to this level of perfection. Ladies & gentlemen *this* is how it's done, right down to the expressions on Michael's face. Wow.
