This was a really cool behind the scenes look at safety and security at your company! Thank you for vlogging a portion of your recurrent training.

I love this video! I had to do a ditching test a few months ago as part of my interview process for a local airline and I failed miserably 😂 but thank God for great recruiters and second chances that I ended up getting accepted for the job and was supposed to start my initial cabin crew training in April but due to the lockdown it got postponed 😪 but I've really been stressing about my ditching exam and after watching this I now have an idea of what to expect and abit of peace!

WHAT?!?! Uhmm firstly can we take a moment to congratulate you on the job, WOW! 🥳🥳🥳🥳 and secondly, just stay safe, do you have a manual already? Maybe start studying in the meantime to keep you busy! And if you live near a pool, I suggest you go there a couple times a week, even just to get comfortable cause I notice people fail just because they're freaked out about the idea of the water. Trust the lifejacket, it keeps you floating so easily. All the best and Congratulations again! xo

@@CloudsurferAndy thank you! No they didn't give us any learning material so that's a bummer but I was practicing in the pool at my gym my recruiter did give me a life jacket to practice with and get comfortable... it really did help because yoh those life jackets make it so hard to swim😂

Natasha you can always call your manager and ask if you could get a copy in the meantime so you can bring your best foot forward for when training starts. The worst they can say is no🤷🏽♀️ hopefully you start training soon!

Love the sunrise and love your friend you rode with you - she is sooo sweet. Your whole team is so adorable. It's always a compliment to your personality because of the sweetness of the people you know. Training was crazy - but glad you all made it through okay. Fabulous video.❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

It's interesting how the training is similar globally with certain variations though. Our regulations here in Nigeria require us to do firefighting, ditching and crash landing drills annually. My initial training was in the UK and, while firefighting and crash landing drills were done annually, ditching was one-off (at least for that airline). During the height of covid, we didn't do wet drills for ditching if it was for recurrent, but ab initio crew had to 🤷🤷 Anyway, another fun video. To your point about why you started vlogging, when I was starting my cabin crew career, there were no KZbin videos. I had to get the movie "View From the Top" to get an idea of what to expect.
@CloudsurferAndy2 жыл бұрын
I loooove that movie! Also one of the things that inspired me to become an FA. I can't imagine doing wet ditching annually though🙈

Second note - you reminded me of another Flight Attendant, Alexis Black who is also a youtube person. She always says if you made it to the end of this video, you're a real MVP - she's an awesome person too❤️🧡💛

Thanks for the information, I recently applied @Airlink for a flight attendant position. I failed my first online assessment & passed on the 2nd round. I'm now aware of what to anticipate during the training should I make it to a 6 weeks program.
