I’m flying Emirates from Melbourne to Gqeberha in December, we take an airlink flight from Johannesburg to Gqeberha 💫 so excited to go back home, but it’s a 30 hour duration , not exciting. This was really fun to listen to, gives an insider look to pilots and flight attendants

How many days off do cabin crew Get And how does leave work

Depends on the month but there are legal limits to how many days you can work in a week so you get enough rest. Leave works same as any other company, your airline would explain it to you when you join, super simple 😊

Unfortunately nope, there aren't any bursaries for the course.. but airlink does consider flight attendants without licenses..so maybe apply to them on their website:)

Hey there, SA based airlines dont hold open days, as far as I know. Its usually only Qatar/Emirates that does those

Go to all the websites of the airlines and they have careers tabs and you just have to keep checking them. You can also join south African cabin crew pages on Facebook, they post about job openings there too and give advice

Not too stressful actually, you get a good amount of days off every month..but you have to have discipline and make time for your studies

Hey neither of these guarantee a job right away so in my opinion it might be better to go for just one, and stick with it. Also pilot jobs are more in demand than FAs. All the best!

It's never the same. Every month we get a new roster. Destinations are basically the same(local south African cities) but working hours change all the time.

Hi Andy is it possible to work as a flight attendant without a license. I applied at Airlink the requirement said a license would be advantageous.

Airlink takes candidates who don't have a cabin crew license. But many of the other airlines require it. Hopefully you get in at Airlink, they're a great airline!!

Hey, there are many schools around the country, just do a quick Google search, call up some schools to find out more info and which one suits you best. Just make sure the schools are legit. Follow south African cabin crew daily on Facebook, they discuss this alot

Luckily no. We took a pay cut so that everyone would stay employed 🥳

Not at all, just attend an accredited flight attendant training school and get your cabin crew license
