Tipper and Matt, thank you so much for taking us along on your book signing trip. It was so interesting hearing you talk about everything that you're so passionate about that includes Appalachian culture and your and Jim's cookbook. The tour of the Ramsey house was really interesting and I enjoyed hearing all about it. It's such a beautiful place with a lot of history. I'm happy that you and Matt got to go and had a nice day. 😊 Sending blessings to you and all your family. 💗🙏

Tipper, I wanted to come and meet you but my uncle was put in the hospital from a fall. He had brain cancer and dementia. He passed away yesterday morning. I was able to spend time with him and my aunt. The really hard part was my beautiful Dad passed away from cancer April 6th this year. God has been with us all. I made some of the recipes in your cookbook for him, and he loved them all.

I enjoyed this so much. In that open-hearth kitchen, I could not help but feel respect for the people who lived in such a time and had to work so very hard just ...to put a meal on the table. Goodness just imagine having to get a fire just so, maintain it just so... Makes me grateful to have a cooktop and an oven, while appreciating the art of such old-time cooking/skills/ways. THANK YOU as always, it was fun to go along! 💞 🙌🏼

Hello Tipper . Thank you for taking us along with you to Knoxville and the Ramsey House. It was wonderful. What an awesome time! When they started pulling out the backup chairs, I knew it would be fun. On top of that was the house tour. I loved every second!

What a fascinating place Tipper. The child's "chamber pot" under the bed.....or as we called them back when I was a kid....a "slop jar".....I actually still have one....I found at an antique store. Nobody but me would appreciate a slop jar.....or an outhouse......LOL. Loved the video!!

Tipper, I would love to be southern. Everything and everyone is so much slower and calmer than the stressed out north. I live in PA, and everyone is in a crazy hurry, and my life is like that. Busy, rush, get here, get there. Southerners are calmer and less high strung. Not to mention the food is really good. 😊❤

Really interesting seeing the house tipper. The big fireplace with the crane and griddle in it, a nod back to the homes they left behind in County Antrim no doubt. I could almost smell potato bread and soda farls cooking on it from here! I was interested to hear that he got the carpenter to add eagles to the English markings, when they left here they would've had very strong anti establishment sentiments against English clergy and land owners given the way Presbyterians and Catholic people were restricted. Obviously left a scar for him to make that point. Thanks for the tour. The Hermitage outside Nashville is supposed to be something else as well I believe.
