I was never into cars, so I only know Clarkson, May and Hammond from post Top Gear projects, and I feel like their whole thing is being scrupulously honest. They are all terribly nice, polite people, but they speak their minds without trying to make a federal case out of the topics they talk about. They make you feel like, yeah, we are all allowed to think things about stuff. That's why the world fell in love with them. Getting mad at Clarkson for his personal opinion, of an undeniably awful woman, just seems ridiculous. An opinion is just a harmless set of thoughts. And Megan is a crap sandwich.

It’s the exaggerated nature of clarkson’s humour that makes him funny. It’s how he has always been, it is what made top gear so good and why people with no interest in cars watched it. Don’t know anyone who likes Meghan but because someone made a joke about a woman everyone seems to be having a hissyfit… if Clarkson said something similar about a bloke he doesn’t like nobody would be batting an eye.
