Greater Manchester Police frequently arrest people who verbally "assault" their assailants after muggings and physical assaults. I think it begins as a deterrent to press charges but our CPS often find a case to prosecute and follow through, usually ignoring the crime that antagonized the verbal insults. It's almost routine. Passers by who verbally object or think the police are mistaken and try to explain what actually happened are also frequently arrested and charged £80 but I think that amount has increased since I first became aware of this.

There is some sort of evil that is being allowed to engulf the West.
