I met Ron performing at a bar in tiny Arcata, CA years ago. He was doing material about dealing with his son's autism. He came out during set break and chatted with all us smokers and stoners outside. He truly is one of the sweetest people alive and so genuinely funny. A year later, I started seeing his name pop up everywhere. I couldn't be happier for his success. Ron, if you're reading this, you rock! Always stay true to yourself. Success couldn't happen to a more deserving guy. I don't know who that old guy you're talking to is. Was he in some commercial one time?

heck yeah. Ron & I (strangers) had a delayed flight from ATL to DFW years ago. DAL kept pushing back the departure time. I used the opportunity to go get drinks at the bar until I recognized & approached him, to tell him how much I enjoyed his comedy. we hung out & chatted about being dads, living in different cities and general life. I scored a few legit laughs from him. he’s exactly who I hoped he’d be & exactly who his act suggests he is.

I’ve loved Ron Funches since seeing his standup on Conan. Now love him even more that he said he doesn’t like horror movies. Horror movies have become so popular, so I admire his candor. I can’t watch horror movies. The very few ones I have, I end up having nightmares worse than the movie.

I had the great fortune to meet Kevin Nealon at my workplace - the Wheeler in Aspen when he performed there December 28, 2022. I enjoyed his performance and liked him instantly. So excited to meet and be in the audience for Ron Funches stand-up in February for Comedy Fest. My colleague, Nicole, put me onto these KZbin hikes by Kevin and I've been binge watching them every chance I get!

He was on the show Undatable, a decently funny sitcom starring Chris D'Elia that ran for 3 seasons. He was kinda like Chris' wing-man in the show. He was huge, over 350 lbs., hence Kevin saying he didn't recognize him. He has a very distinct low-and-slow delivery to his comedy.

Questions are perfect, except, I feel like Steve Martin would have appreciated them more, would have to really work at remembering the last time he had Kool-Aid, and would have asked, "What was in the Kool-Aid?" He's really cute! Allergic to alcohol. I need to be allergic to alcohol rather than to eggs, corn, rye, barley, oats, rice, wheat, dust, mold, fur, feathers, trees, grass, yellow potatoes, soy, etc. Some fermented alcohol is my list. Hives occur, oh beer, the hops. Domestic beers more than imported and champagne is horrible. I can't breathe, my nose starts running and my ears get itchy. Same with some seafoods. Clams, the brown sauce that is put on sea urchins and cats are horrible. But, Ronnie is so sweet and cute! Gotta check.out his wrestling video. Kevin is so funny, but quiet, subtle quiet.
