I know I'm replying to your comment 2yrs later, I could be wrong, but I think in the early days of the Bertcast, Bert didn't have a mixer, so he couldn't lay multitrack, everyone was recorded on one. That can make it a paaaaaiiiiin in the ass to edit in post when people are speaking at all different volumes at once! Just speculation though!
