It has been fifty years since I last saw this series. I had forgotten how surreal and unhinged it was. Marty was a class act. Thanks for posting it. It has bought so many memories of discussions with some friends who are no here sadly, about MFCM. We loved it.

I remember watching this on tv back in the early 70s when I was 7 or 8. It was my introduction to both Marty Feldman and the animation of Terry Gilliam.

After looking at this in the early seventies in California, I began to empathize with Marty. He was always cutting it up, and sometimes needed us to become magnanimous.

I was hooked on this every week here in the US, but we got an abridged half-hour version, and didn't even get all the episodes of that due to sporting events!

I only know that Marty was a fan of Buster Keaton, so the visual sketches without (m)any lines are probably inspired by silent slapstick movies.

Guessing Terry Gilliam did the intro and most of Monty Python did write for Marty's shows.

@@DogOfKrondor Terry jones & Michael Palin turned up to help with the sketches & found themselves in a roomfull of writers ,more than just the credited 8, where thay all come up with something & the "funniest" goes in the show, This is the american way where as brits have A writer, maybe two, or those who are at least appearing on the show. Despite the Pythons almost doing it this way Jones & Palin hated the process.
